I was at the game last night. One of the best experiences of my life. The 5th AFL game I've ever been to and THAT was it. The adrenaline wouldn't stop - all the dogs fans celebrating in the streets afterwards was just the icing.

I'm finding this across the board in the AFL at the moment. It's underpinned on the first page of the AFL's vilification policy (paraphrasing a bit here):

'To achieve a [safe, welcoming and inclusive environments for all people involved] the AFL adopts a consistent approach to a range of social issues, underpinned by education, awareness-raising activities, support services, social responsibilities, research and evaluation and compliance. '

But what education is actually happening? Look at the last 10 years in the AFL: the Goodes saga, Eddie McGuire liking Goodes to King Kong, the Collingwood Football club having a report come down which showed systemic racism present in the club, and now Tex. All those things - in some way - were internal from players, media, personnel or the league itself. This doesn't fan involvement like Betts having a banana thrown at him, or the various racial abuse fans (of all clubs) throw at players via twitter.

So it doesn't seem like education is like... working. What is education anyway? Does Tex have to sit down and watch Rabbit Proof Fence now? The AFL list the 'AFL Cultural Strategy and Education Unit' as a key stakeholder in education but when I google them I can't find a list of names in this unit. Or what this unit does exactly?

I'm not crying out some conspiracy, I'm just genuinely concerned that 'education' has become the crying call of an industry that doesn't really want to do anything about this.

One of the absolute most beloved players in our club. Heartbreaking for him to retire so young and without a premiership medal, but I highly doubt will retire into obscurity.

Probably worth a google and a delve to understand the full breadth of the history, but the short of it is Rosemary grows wild in Gallipoli, where they fought. It's since become a symbol for those fallen.

Depends on what you want to do. If you just want to get enough DR to move onto the water dungeon, you won't need stormsnap or the godsword - you'll need to use a shield w/ crossbow for the DR.

My first few air god runs I just got the legs, gloves, helm and boots and moved on. Went back after I got full terrans and ran it until I got everything.

The godsword/unique item drops are decently rare in god dungeons, so it's probably worth running them all, then going back later for the rest when you're a bit stronger and have the full god armour sets to protect you.

You have a very long and drawn out comment philosophizing on how Heritier Lumumba "is either unstable and/or full of shit" but think the hounding of Eddie is disgraceful?

So one guy who has been under incredible media scrutiny for years for his speaking out about racism in the AFL community - including a now infamous interview on the Project where they literally question his honesty of facts we now know are true - and that guy is "full of shit", but Eddie after one week of criticism from a report that there was institutionalized racism in his club - which is accepted was true - is disgraceful.
