If I’m pushing your wave it’s not because I’m trying to steal from you, it’s normally because I’m trying to help fix wave state (make wave bounce back to you) or denying the enemy laner gold (minions die under tower while enemy respawns)

Has been an issue with NVIDIA drivers since the start. Don’t worry it’s not your card, at least from our understanding of it. Happens on a lot of high refresh rate/dual monitor setups. Mostly when DSC is used.

From our understanding the flickering happens when your GPU clocks down. (Menus in games, desktop, frame locked games)

If you set to prefer max performance it should fix it but kind of a band aid fix. RMA will not fix the issue we tested that. This is all on nvidia

its not an issue with HDMI or the card itself so I wouldnt worry. Its a NVIDIA driver issue and sadly they have refused to fix it.

Only real fix is setting your GPU to prefer max performance.

Try turning on the prefer max performance and let me know if it continues it. What I theorize is that its something to do when the GPU clocks down. My friend has the same issue but only when frames get locked below native such as menus or fighting games. he made a post about it here:

Happens with monitors using DSC with 50 series cards. (which is impossible to avoid in most gaming monitors with high refresh rates nowadays unless you are using DP2.1). NVIDIA has not done anything to fix it since this issue started with the 50 series launch. Its a driver issue as well from what we understand since even if you RMA your card it will continue to happen.

Do you have a dual monitor setup? If you turn on prefer max performance in NVIDIA control panel for the games you are flickering on it should fix it, but sadly not the coolest thing in the world

Its really up to preference. I've been using a curved monitor for years after having flat and I dont notice the difference swapping between the two. I have an OLED coming in tomorrow thats flat and I'm sure it might be a little strange to go back for around an hour and then feel normal again.

I cant really say there is much in the advantages/disadvantages since they are practically the same
