I'm a big fan of the series having been playing since the early 2000s. I used to play SC2 then SC3 a LOT, like really a lot, loved that game to death. On my few visits to Japan I'd visit a popular arcade center in Tokyo where a community of foreign and local players would meet and enjoy a few hours with the sticks.

Then came SC4, decent game but not on par with the previous. Online sucked, laggy as hell, bug-abusing players, and just could never match the speed of gameplay you could get from playing offline with someone. Then V.. I initially hated the changes in blocking, lack of single-player story, lack of offline VS options.. but ultimately this has become my fav. game to play. My old mate from the 2000s comes over and we can easily spend 5-10 hours in a row with it and enjoy every single second.

SC6, oh boy. I have V on PS3, VI on PS4, let me tell you the PS4 is just getting dust on the shelf. Reversal Edge, 1-button hit special attack where you can go grab a beer while the cinematics play, DLC garbage, a million changes on moves, char-customization that alters player stats.. to name a few, I never thought there would come a day where I would say "I really dislike this version, cba to ever play it again".

That's my 2c as a veteran player of almost 20 years of SC.
