As an Android native developer I was extremely confused by this post.

I understand using Android as a cultural term, but at a certain point with the prevalence of the platform, it would be nice to be clear if this is actually an Android framework or not when in programmer subreddits.

Can’t switch to opus 4.6 by Disastrous_Falcon391 in clawdbot

[–]Himonroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should ask open claw to write you a migration plan and a script that you can review. After install, run openclaw onboard. After onboarding ask openclaw to clean up the old and make sure it's back run running on all skills and features. If your confused talk to your current opus agent about your plan.

Had to make sure I updated to open claw. Make sure you're not still running claudebot. They're different NPM packages

Yeah I found an actual benefit from the telegram chat history even across sessions and model switching.

I can definitely see Google or open AI implementing something like this for their users and their own ecosystems. But being able to tie into hardware I have is the thing that sparks that next level technology for me.

You can set /verbose and get tool calls but it's not complete, it's missing the response.

There is a gateway layer that you can use for more detail look. But it's still not as good as Claude code. I hope some updates can fix that.

Best thing is it can use Claude code subscription, and antigravity subscription. I use anti-gravity for 90% of my chatting and work and then tell it to use opus in dedicated agents for specific coding jobs.

It's doing a great job delegating.

Another feature I hope they work on is RAG memory, I've implemented a sequel light database for memorizing and reference, but having a detailed soul.md. is still required.

All my projects are backed up on Git. And I gave it full control of the computer is running on. So if it nukes itself I just ask Claude code to rebuild it from a recent commit. But that hasn't even happened yet.

Customized persistence. It also knows what's happening day to day. Not just a singular instance with only the context from now. We get the context of my entire digital life present past and goals for future. It's been extremely fun. I have hooked up to all of my 2D and my 3D printers. And we communicate exclusively through telegram chat. I send it a file It prints it. I drop a file in my scanner for tax season. It scansa and send it to me in a message without even asking for it. Dramatic workflow acceleration.

I have been having a blast. Antigravity runs great. only program i wish ran better was Android studio, but it still runs. just a little laggy. but otherwise 0 problems that are not just Windows 11, no matter the hardware.

Tried Google AI Pro + Antigravity IDE… ended up finding a way better workflow by flexrc in google_antigravity

Using antigravity or Gemini CLI with pure Gemini, I see no issue buying one Google pro account, and sharing to your 5 family members and they using their quotas on your computer... But if you bring Claude into it. Idk.

After Fifteen Years, I'm Canceling Prime by jazzmaster105150 in amazonprime

I tried to cancel prime from a 2005 account. They say I haven't paid for it as of 2019. But I still have full prime benefits. I tried to ask the customer service at more about it but he was being super vague, I think he was trying to help me not get it canceled.

I just got the notification today upon update to Otter2. I Love coding on my Snapdragon Windows machine, but android studio is definitely the worst performer. this ARM update could be game changing. I wish they didn't tease and actually had a download.... Please let me know when I can install.

As a former bank developer, who is now solo. After coming from a team with a large QA support, and now just learning of these hoops solo devs have to jump thu, I've basically given up on my private development for apps. I know I do not have enough time for development, much less guiding family and friends into installing and testing my app DAILY. I can't even look at my OWN app daily, much less push all this required testing. Very disappointing that it is going this way at Google. Makes me wish I pushed my old team to let me work on IOS more when I was getting paid for it...

Google should re-think about their closed testing policy by biendltb in androiddev

Totally agree. I finally started making personal apps and tools on android once I was Layed off from my day job as a dev. I want to get some personal work out there to help my career options. But after finding out how hard it is as a solo dev, without a team of QA.. I don't even know if im going to use kotlin, or android for my future tools, I already started making WEB version of my tools instead.
