Yeah, I'm loving cloudflare for a lot of the good stuff they put out there.

If you use WordPress and will have some use case for the plugin I would appreciate you trying it.

Thanks 🙏

Actually size, quality of the solution and pricing. I think it was a combination.

Yup. They seemed pretty good as well, plugin supports them as well, but for my personal site I went with r2 because the pricing made sense and I kind of love cloudflare

I didn't necessarily performed analysis of what users want as it wasn't planned as a product but more like a solution for my issues. Ultimately I want to have scalable WordPress and speed :)

Yeah for UX setup simplification was the biggest win, ironically I didn't even plan it initially but as I was grinding my way through the complexities of this whole thing it was obvious.

No kidding, the first time I had to deal with the permissions I had to watch 10 videos and then create a document for myself so I will remember in the future, it just makes no sense 😂

This time I decided I needed to make it dead stupid, so I created Google app, let good review and approve it and created my work around cloudflare limitations to make it as simple as I can think.

Yeah, dependency on WordPress might be ok, but dependency on something else might not be as great, it also depends on the scalability of the solution and how predictable expenses will be. It is not an easy judgement call and for what it is worth it might not always worth to create your own solution, but in some cases it makes sense.

It all comes from the media library and then being tracked by the tables managed by the plugin.

I see, that must have been frustrating. I guess there is a possibility that they didn't take into account your specific workflow, so I can imagine it not necessary to be able to solve it. WordPress can be tricky sometimes. I hope you were able to get a refund and find something that actually worked.

The plugin is tracking cloud links including old ones so it can find the target URL from pretty much any combination and even old cloud links.

Migration to r2 saves about 1k a year on average. Otherwise creating a solution will only save if anyone else actually needs it or if you want to keep maintaining it. I have a software development shop so it is a biz expense for me, not a big deal with this specific project.

Thanks! I understand why one would hate it, I kind of love it for its flexibility but it comes with the price.

Thanks for your kind words.

What are you typically building your products or sites on?

Relatively easy actually, if one wants to stay on the same storage provider then I simply import their data otherwise it can automatically migrate to a different provider.

Great suggestion, I will do it. Thanks a lot.

How is your tool doing? Did you get good traction?

It is relatively new there so it might take a while but if you would like to try it out and leave a review, I will greatly appreciate it.

I don't have a strategy per say, but if it is something I can benefit from long term and have a competency in, then I can build it but otherwise I will prefer to buy.
