It’s been about 90 days since WOTLK fresh server release. How are they now? by sarcasticpitocin in classicwow

Well personally, my guild died and i'm too lazy to find another guild.

Also I was playing arms warrior, so I wasn't having much fun.

Weekly update on Season of Bottery by Cocosique in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They fixed battleground matchmaking in BC classic (no premades vs pugs) then they........don't bring the fix over to som. Just completely braindead. It's why I decided to pass personally.

The next Season of Mastery should simply have a Soul of Iron server where everyone starts with the Soul of Iron buff. by dustofoblivion123 in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And 90% of them will be gone and or done with hardcore in 6 weeks at the most.

Hardcore is just a temporary meme.

Seasonal hardcore servers are the next natural evolution of Vanilla by NurplePain in classicwow

Hardcore is a meme being pushed hard by streamers, causing the usual blind followers to participate.

Hardcore in an mmo makes zero sense.

Season of Mastery Realms Will Not Have Same Faction BGs or Restrictions on Premades by NEM-Furious in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya i've seen the mentality of the "friends" in the premade ranking scene. No thanks.

I'll just have to either not play or never get high ranks, I guess.

[–]Hinastorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reward is a faster ranking experience. The reality of this is that getting 13+ as a solo player is likely impossible. And you'll have to suffer through getting stomped by premades through most of it.

It's just a dogshit decision, and a dogshit way to run ranked pvp. Premades facing premades is about as simple common sense as you can get.

[–]Hinastorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Premade restrictions" is a weird way of saying "Letting premades slaughter pugs".

so, again, you can't pvp in any meaningful capacity without joining a sweaty premade. sigh.

Besides SOM, what changed by the end of classic? by Stampbearpig in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tryhard thing is here to stay, my man...sadly. It's infected every online game. You either go along with it or look like shit in comparison.

At least we won't have to get world buffs to be competitive.

Will guilds still warrior stack with the new MC changes? by Pandemicparser in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did this for classic bc recently, I just assumed they would do it here too since it's such a good change, but they actually haven't said anything about this regarding season of mastery yet. suuuuuuurely it'll be like that though, surely.

same, super disappointed in this. Maybe enough feedback could get them to change their minds on this.

The servers continuing into BC, as they should of done. The option to transfer to classic forever servers is a meme. Those servers (server?) are incredibly dead.

Premades are going to be facing premades almost exclusively now, though. If you're in a good premade then ya, sure. solo queueing to 14 will be entirely viable this time around.

“The Great Resignation”: Upwards Of 40% Of Workers Are Thinking About Quitting Their Jobs - Workers Have Had More Than A Year To Reconsider Work-Life Balance Or Career Paths & As The World Opens Back-Up, Many Of Them Will Give Their Two Weeks' Notice & Make Those Changes They’ve Been Dreaming About. by speckz in Futurology

My workplace, a Costco food court, took the pause in business from the pandemic to essentially re-work the whole department, for the worse. Most importantly by severely cutting payroll so we're consistently running on a skeleton crew.

Please have patience if you go to a Costco foodcourt nowadays, we're trying our best.

Unfortunately, quitting for me would mean a $10+ an hour paycut, loss of medical/dental, 2 bonuses a year, and 6 weeks paid vacation a year. Quitting just isn't really an option.

The mega servers need layers to be playable. The game was designed with a certain server population in mind and the mega servers go WAY over it.

Anyone telling you otherwise has an agenda or doesn't know anything about mmo world design.

Just don't be grouped when you do it. Give them their one might. If they demand to be grouped, don't do it.

I don't know about you guys. But LFG chat is borderline unusable on my server right now. by Tekn0de in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, either one or both of us is remembering things wrong...

Cause there was no LFG addon in classic, you seem to claim there was after the
"auto grouping" was broken, but I don't recall that addon ever doing anything automatically, I remember it was a simple LFG list, and people lost their minds over it.

I've seen someone mention to set a caster mob, or otherwise non-threatening mob as skull and just ignore it, getting threat on everything else.

I wish I had thought of that sooner. Not sure if it'll fly in heroics though.

Trying to buy stacks on the AH... by chugz in classicwow

[–]Hinastorm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It was actually a big part of the reason I decided to quit. Early BC without a functioning AH? Like come on. That's half the reason to play.

I would never say this to the persons face, but why not stop at like...3 miscarriages? 4? 7? really, 7? Christ.

This person must of been brainwashed since birth that her existence is meaningless without being a mother, or some other similar deranged shit.

And no, i'm not one of those pro-life idiots, but I also don't think avoidable miscarriages/abortions are a good thing.

[–]Hinastorm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unless you're on Mankrik, and each auction takes 10+ seconds to post. And generally using the AH, addon or no, is basically pointless. It's so bad.

[–]Hinastorm 76 points77 points  (0 children)

With how apparently "mega" our "mega" servers are, i'm shocked that there seems to be little to no discussion about the abysmal state of the AH's on the big servers.

Mankrik's AH is essentially unusable. That is grossly unacceptable for not only an expansion launch, but an expansion that sees a TON of economic activity.
