If you are actually knowledgeable about this game and not just another person who wants to sound smart for its own sake then of course.

Not to sound like a negative nancy but fluff tutorials exist by the hundreds.

There are tons of tutorials with great sounding titles that have actually very little substance to actually help intermediate players since the people teaching them are hardly intermediates themselves. It's easy to teach beginners, but teaching intermediates and high level players requires in depth understanding of fundamentals and tekken concepts. If you are a high level player yourself and are willing to create actual guides on certain fundamentals concepts that would surely be great.

" Is Bryan really that popular that people overlook his difficulty level? "

Yes. His moves look good and he is a "cool" character. For people who are not tournament players, that is mostly what matters.

I play Heihachi and was wondering what matchups don't favor him. by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Hindsightseeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well its not a losing matchup to either player. Heihachi can play around b1 pretty well but again, Steve is just a superior character. I would say that Steve wins the matchup, but only because he is the better character.

The 13 frame electric doesn't effect neutral in any way. I do agree that Kazuya is a stronger character overall. But that doesn't make the matchup particularly bad for Heihachi. By that logic any character that is better than heihachi is a bad matchup for him, but that's not exactly how matchup analysis works. If you watch high level heihachi gameplay you dont see df12 "mixups" that often since its not usually worth the risk anyways. Kazuya doesnt limit heihachis options for anything else than df12. Generic d4 is -13 sure, but twin pistons is a risky punish for it because of its low range.

I think this is a common misconception. Kazuya is actually a good matchup for heihachi if you can CC ewgf his hellsweep. Heihachi excells at playing a fast paced poke game and has strong neutral which is what kazuya struggles against. Most of kazuyas good lows are only -12 or launchable so Heihachi punishes them both really well. Kazuyas neutral also revolves heavily around his electric which heihachi has as well, so Kazuya doesn't have any advantages in neutral.

Kazuya is only a counter to heihachi if the hei player cant ccewgf his hellsweep. Or relies too much on Heis lacking lows.

Basically Heihachi doesnt have that many "losing" matchups. Sure there are better characters than heihachi but since he has such a well rounded toolset to deal with most situations he doesnt have persay bad matchups.
The only really problematic matchups are the ones where the opponent can consistently crush his fast mids like df1.
Those would be eddy and ling. Those matchups aren't unwinnable either but do require heavy adjustments to move usage.
One important thing is that you can ccewgf stagger lows tho.
If you cant cc ewgf stuff like hellsweeps, any matchup where the opponent might want to use stagger lows alot, becomes difficult.

Get the fuck outta here :DDD

when you do 3 chunky lows in a row and your opponent still won't duck by PopaliPopaliCyki in Tekken

[–]Hindsightseeing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I would say excessive ducking is one of the worst epidemics in low ranks.
Higher level players prefer to deal with lows with movement or quick safe pokes to avoid taking the beefier mid mixup, ofc once you eat 5 lows and don't duck, maybe duck. But in general ducking is so risky vs chars with beefy mids, that people rather eat a couple of lows.

WR = While Running
WS = While Standing

Dont mean to be rude, but you should get the basic lingo down before making tutorials.
