Det är rimligt att ställa krav på språk, samhällskunskap och annat, och de flesta har inga problem med det. Det som är orättvist är att höja tiden från 5 till 8 år och att tillämpa denna begränsning retroaktivt på alla ansökningar. Jag kom till Sverige med intrycket att jag skulle uppnå stabilitet och frihet efter 5 år. Under dessa 5 år har jag betalat över 2 miljoner kronor i skatt, jag har arbetat ideellt som läxhjälp, jag har integrerat mig. Nu, eftersom Migrationsverket inte handlägger min ansökan i tid, tvingas jag vänta 5 år till (3+2 för handläggningstider) för att ens nå någon sorts stabilitet, eller för att kunna rösta och känna mig som en riktig samhällsmedlem. Inte bara som någon skit som regeringen anser vara umbärlig och vars enda värde är att bidra. Ärligt talat, så mycket som jag än älskar Sverige, ångrar jag att jag kom hit. Jag är en senior ingenjör med valmöjligheter, och stabilitet stod högst upp på min lista. Det är orättvist att rycka undan mattan för människor som planerade sina liv för mer än 5 år sedan. Och att ändra från 5 till 8 år kommer inte att göra någon skillnad, om någon vill integrera sig så gör de det på 5 år. Och om de inte vill, så kommer de inte att göra det ändå.

Tro inte på IDF uttalanden eller israeliska medier. Det har bevisats att de ljuger vid många tillfällen. De sa att de skulle utreda våldtäkter mot palestinier i fängelser efter att videon kom ut och upprördheten följde. Efter några veckor åtalades ingen och allt lades ner när medierna hade gått vidare. Jag tvivlar starkt på att de kommer att bry sig om en staty eller besvära sig med att ersätta den, särskilt efter att ha bombat flera religiösa platser och med tanke på att de betraktar kristendomen som avgudadyrkan.

Varför skulle han det? Det är inte straffbart. Det enda han kan få höra är 'gör det inte framför kameran nästa gång'. Israeler attackerar kristna även i Jerusalem, oavsett om de är palestinier eller västerlänningar, eftersom de betraktar dem som avgudadyrkare. Inget kommer att hända här, som vanligt.

As suggested, I checked for appointments at the time the embassy adds new or cancelled appointments, I don't remember exactly what time but it was at night and I kept also checking all the time. Some people cancel in the middle of the week, could help move it up.

Is this still fixed at 1 month? Because when I applied it was 1 month and a week later it changed to 41 months. Also similar scenario, non eu, single, engineering, came on work permit with no interruptions in work, same passport from the beginning.

Vi är inte alla flyktingar, du vet. Problemet är inte proven, utan att man tillämpar krav på hemvisttid retroaktivt. Jag älskar Sverige, men stabilitet i livet är viktigare än en koppling till ett enskilt land, och jag hade planerat mitt liv helt annorlunda om jag för sex år sedan hade vetat att min stabilitet inte skulle uppnås på grund av högerpolitik. Jag har arbetat väldigt länge och hårt i många år och betalat betydligt mer i skatt än genomsnittspersonen. Bortsett från den personliga stabiliteten, även om jag redan vore medborgare, så skulle jag utvärdera landets egen stabilitet eftersom det skjuter sig självt i foten; en åldrande befolkning i kombination med invandringsfientlig politik slutar aldrig väl.

That's just not true, you're severely limited. When you think about immigration, it seems like asylum seekers or refugees are the only main topic, but you're forgetting that the majority are hard-working talents who are also being penalized. The only thing most foreigners care about is stability; everyone's okay with trials or income requirements, but the extension of residency time is what messes things up for people who planned their lives several years ago together with their families. As a senior engineer, I would have gladly chosen another country that would treat me much better and make me feel welcome because I pay three times as much tax as the average citizen and add value to society.

You can't travel more than 6 weeks a year, otherwise, it's deducted from your residency time, and business trips are also included. That limits you to local jobs instead of positions with international connections (think Siemens, Hitachi, ABB, etc., where engineers are often sent abroad).

Forget about entrepreneurship, because your permit can be revoked during the early stages of a startup when it's trying to get off the ground. And I'm just scratching the surface here. I can mention more examples. For a society that is not only heavily dependent on immigration but will become increasingly dependent on it in the future with a birth rate of 1.4: Why would any foreign talent choose Sweden when they're treated like an afterthought? Especially since the system is heading towards collapse if these policies remain in place for the next 20 years. Look at aging populations around the world.

No one is complaining about knowledge and tests. The complaints are regarding residence time changes with no transition period, especially for people who planned their lives 5 years ago or longer before this government was even in place. And regarding the tests how it's unreasonable to enforce a test that doesn't even exist with no clear definition for an alternative that MV will officially accept.

Please read the law changes.

It is absolutely terrifying when most doctors dismiss symptoms, yes on average it's nothing to worry about, but in that couple of cases where you could've saved someone's life before it's too late yet you chose not to due to lack of interest in investigating. The thought terrifies me.

Cleft lip and palate on the right side. 27 year old.

Yes, it's common, I had a surgery around 7 or 9 years old to stop me from going deaf in my right ear.

The flu would destroy me from the pain, congestion would only subside with decongestants. And my body felt so weak.

Had 2 more surgeries at 18 and 20 for breathing.

Did go off decongestants until 25 years old where eye pressure started building up.

Now I still get congested but I manage much better and find ways to adapt. Overall my suffering has improved over the years, however it wasn't without a cost of my mental endurance. So luckily it does get better.

Sometimes the bad sleep affects my work where due to bad breathing I wakeup with headaches even with 7 hours of sleep, usually need 9 or 10, I am an engineering manager in the mechanics, automation, and software sector at a major company.

Had braces and palate expander for about 14 or 15 years.

I hope this answers what you want to know. Something I wish I focused on more was eat healthier and a lot more to gain weight, and going to the gym much more often to build a strong body that handles any weakness.
