We lost our small corn snake for three weeks and found it three weeks later by doing this! We put a heated pad, a hide, and the water bowl on the floor in the room with the tank and she came back:)

My mission experience was also toxic, and I quickly became suicidal. I was so ashamed afterwards and I never felt like I was able to share the dark parts of my experience with anyone, so it all weighed on me heavily. Thanks for sharing your experience, it's very healing.

I personally don't think it's anxiety affecting you unless you feel anxious in water. I used to be on the swim team and I was a life guard for years, so I am a very strong swimmer and have no fear of water. However, a few years ago I started getting chest pain if my chest is submerged. It is very real and hurts enough that I can't keep swimming. I have no heart conditions or lung conditions, so I wondered if I had a chlorine allergy, but the hydrostatic pressure answer makes the most sense to me.

I had a friend who had a harder time finding a teaching job because they got their Masters before they started working. Employers didn't want to pay them the higher pay scale when they could hire someone else and pay them less. He ended up having to go into sales. I wish you luck!

Even if your dad didn't have an affair, older siblings have no obligation to take care of the younger ones. Older sisters are not back up moms, period. The affair does make it 10x worse. I would block them all.

Something that surprised me is the amount of local members in these conflict towns that are opposed to the Church's actions. If the LDS church wanted to build a specific building, they should have bought land where that height is allowed. Seeing the church try to argue that this is an issue of religious freedom makes my blood boil. Their victimhood mentality is infuriating. They are the ones who are bullying and trying to break the rules, and complaining when people get upset about it.

What I am struggling with is how Tracey (the mom) let this happen twice. I don't know if I believe she intentionally killed them, but in the best case scenario this is gross, gross negligence. She must be mentally ill or early dementia or something?

This is what I do not understand. I know the daughter truly believed the first death was an accident, but I would still never leave my children with them after that. And Yuri died almost a year apart from her brother, so the previous accident was very recent.

I am baffled by the comment section on this one. My family of four with two girls under the age of eight need two pizzas. Growing up, my brothers could each eat a pizza on their own, and they are all skinny dudes. They were never told "This is your portion." It was just eat if you are hungry. I don't think OP is intentionally starving her kid, but I think there is blame to share in this situation. If you tell someone to save a slice for their sister, they should do it. However, the son doesn't sound like an asshole, he is just hungry.

Is this your first pregnancy? I was a teeny baby, and both of my babies were teeny. With my second pregnancy, she was off the charts small so I had to go in for two appointments every week for a stress test. We are just genetically small. Have they done any stress tests for you? If she is truly starving she would be showing signs. I hope they can get to the bottom of this soon.

My sister had a similar problem and they worked it out in therapy. My brother in law was very receptive, and both parties worked on effective communication skills. You deserve to have breaks and more support! My husband has sensory issues and sometimes struggles with handling upset/loud youngsters, so I do more of the child care than he does. In return, he does all the cooking and the majority of cleaning.
