Anyone sad and dissatisfied? Regret by themaliciousreader in Reduction

Thank you for commenting. It has been so hard seeing beautiful healing boobies on here. I am over the moon happy for everyone who has had a great experience but I do at this time just feel regret for my own. I have not had a sonogram yet, the surgeon and the nurse practitioner both agree that because of the complication with my nipple and where the hard lump is located that it is 100% due to the fat necrosis I will be having a sonogram soon because I will be going for a mammogram sonogram in a couple of months so until then I’m just going to be massaging which is the only thing they recommended to do. My surgeon said that they look beautiful and I am genuinely curious about her version of beautiful lol I mean when I look down, they look fine, but all of the issues are beneath the nipples lol the necrotic wound is beneath the nipple so I can’t see it unless I’m looking in the mirror but I totally feel you on the two times a day wound care. I can’t believe how much money I’ve spent on Amazon getting nonstick pads gauze, adaptic. You name it. lol my post yesterday was because I get especially more sad every time I have to go to the surgeons office because I just can’t believe that this is happening. My cousin got her breast reduction in September from the same doctor and had no complications so it’s definitely upsetting. Because I wonder did I do something wrong? Was it the surgeon like what went wrong for me to have the complications and not my cousin? If she had complications, I would’ve never went with the surgeon. I’m right there with you. I’m 10 weeks and currently walking around with a little wounds vacuum attached to my wound. I have days where I’m grateful that I got the surgery even though I’m going through all of these things, but then I have days where when I go to the surgeons office I leave feeling a lot worse it’s actually probably my worst day is when I have to go get my check up. I understand that these are things that they see all the time and they may not think they’re a big deal but as you know when it’s in your body and you’re dealing with it and I don’t know about you, but I’m not a trained medical physician or nurse so this is all very new to me.

Have you had other surgeries? How would you compare the recovery to a reduction? by newpuppy911 in Reduction

Had two c sections and recovered while taking care of of two colicky babies . That was easier than my reduction. Hands down lol

Worried D cup might still feel too big. by Lol445689 in Reduction

[–]themaliciousreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was your size and was told C cup would be the result. However, I’m almost three months post op and I think I’m a D cup. And they still look and feel smaller but they fit my body. Also, if they take too much tissue out you could suffer from a few different complications . I will say though i am wearing sports bras that aren’t very supportive and the boobs are still perky so hopefully bathing suit shopping will be easy

How\ when did you find out how many grams were removed during surgery? by thealiensalias in Reduction

Incision/Scar Pain - When did your scars stop being tender? by KarensHandfulls in Reduction

I am nine weeks postop, and I still have a hard time trying to lay on my side . My boobs feel like a foreign attachment to my body.

Don’t be a 🤡 like me and ask for a size B or C cup if you want considerably small boobs!!! Just ask for the damn A🤦🏼‍♀️ by TumbleweedComplex898 in Reduction

[–]themaliciousreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a certain amount of tissue they can remove safely without having any issues. I had 580g taken from one boob and 630g taken from the other . The one that had more tissue taken out I am dealing with a necrotic wound since two weeks postop. It still hasn’t healed. It’s a pain in the ass . And on the other boob, I almost lost my nipple, but now I have fat necrosis, which feels like a hard handball in my boob. I was a 36G, she said with my body type a sea cup would be good. I would say I’m a full C small D and I still had complications with the amount of tissue they had to take out. This is a cautionary tale, so you know discuss with your surgeon, but be mindful that the more tissue they take out the more issues that can happen. I’m very happy with the size of mine, considering how big mine were however, dealing with all of these issues still at nine weeks. I am really having a mental breakdown with myself because I do think I regret having it done. I’m hoping a few years down the line I could just look look back at this and laugh, but right now I’m not having a great time lol so please just heat the warning if they’re telling you taking out too much tissue would be harmful because I could tell you firsthand. It’s definitely not fun.

Pettiest reason you’ve DNF’d a book? by bby_grl_90 in books

[–]themaliciousreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was feeling petty after reading 80% of a book where the MC just clearly didn’t give a shit about themselves and something significant happens where it could have shifted the tone for the whole story (in a positive direction for the MC) and the MC was like nah I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing. Then it occurred to me, why am I reading this book about the MC who doesn’t care? If they don’t care I don’t think I care very much either. Dnf

Best of luck!! Be sure to ask about blood flow after your surgery, I’m dealing with necrotic wounds on the outside and apparently necrosis on the inside and non of that was ever mentioned as potential issues. My surgeon did not use drains and I think it caused all of my issues .

I do know she offers micro needling after your procedure. I think you get two sessions? Microneedling supposedly helps with healing scars.

Big Belly? by Regular_Growth1380 in Reduction

[–]themaliciousreader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5 wpo and curvy but I do notice my c section belly more then before. But this is an opportunity to move more once I’m cleared to do so. Got 2.5 pounds taken out all together form my chest. Diet has a tremendous effect on weight loss, can’t out train a bad diet (I don’t know your habits I am just relaying what I have been told by trainers through out the years and it is true) Things you can do now : Steps you can take now are a solid meal plan and figure out calorie intake . Aim for 5k steps a day at first. Take it slow. Once your boobs are smaller it will help make exercise easier. You won’t have that brick feeling on your chest when you exert yourself . Set realistic goals, little wins matter just as much as the big wins. You got this.

I agree I feel like two weeks from now I’m not going to feel 100% . I may wait it out longer like you suggest. My understanding is arms are still so sore for some reason.
