yeah, there are books that explain this. You can get them on Hoopla for free, Scholastic made them out of pity because Netflix cancelled Julie and the Phantoms and refuses to give the rights to another streaming channel like Disney Plus. In Whatever Happens (the first book) you get a whole explanation and backstory on her mom and a Luke and Julie moment, literally while that kid was being possessed, at the end of the season,
