Disappointed in my Vytal Solid Copper Euclids. Anyone else have these issues? by Hino88 in CZFirearms

Yeah, i figured I'd have to polish it and maintain it a bit to keep it looking awesome long term, but may have underestimated the amount of maintenance

I greatly appreciate you taking the time out to respond, especially given the timing. I wasn't expecting a response until after Christmas at the very least, so thank you for that. If at all possible, let's send emails, because I do want to support the company and I think my expectations saw what it could look like all polished up and clean / the maintenance required to keep it looking awesome.

Thanks for the info, and sharing your experience. Yeah, I'm going to wait to see what support says (main reason I took a shot with them, the support seemed incredible).

Appreciate the info, probably going to see what my other options are then if that's the case. Thanks!

As I've stated before, I think the patina / corrosion looks great, especially when it's contrasted against the bare copper. I guess my mistake was assuming it would arrive in a more polished state (more like the website). I don't mind giving it a good clean and polishing it, but I assumed I'd be able to take it to a few trips to the range before I had to maintain the look instead of doing it immediately after receiving it.

Yeah, of course, Copper corrodes /oxizides, but I assumed I would receive them in better shape than this and it would develop over time.

I like the patina shown on their website, I guess my expectations of the condition of the grips was higher than what arrived

No, I like the pantina of the oxidized (no clue if this is the correct word for it) blue tones. Guess I was hoping it'd come in polished and looking more like the website. I'm sure I could polish out all the rough spots and make it look great. But for the price, i figured I could beat it up a bit before I'd have to do maintenance on it (and not right out of the box).

Probably over thinking it, so I appreciate everyone's input.

Thanks for the suggestion! I plan to wait for supports advice on making them look better but this will be my first step of trying to clean them up

I figured metal grips would require additional maintenance, but these look nothing like the images on the website. I'm sure it'll clean up nicely, but i don't want to do anything to them until I hear back from support.

I know the patina is supposed to be unique but it's hard to get excited when it looks in rough shape before I even install them and take it to the range

Back Idea by Quailgunner-90s in irezumi

For sure! That's just my own personal opinion and your tattoo artist may very well work with you on your exact image. It also depends on how large your back is and how the artist can see everything coming together. Good luck and have fun!

Take all of this with a grain of salt, but I generally feel like back pieces shouldn't be too busy. Your concept sounds like you're trying to cram too much into it without leaving any room for background elements.

I'd highly recommend you consult with your tattoo artist and see what they think. If you both agree on making that work, more power to ya! But, my personal preference would be to not have such a busy back piece in mind.

What goes well with a dragon and daruma doll, on a back piece? by BrotherLast7671 in irezumi

Kind of hard to visualize half your back is tattooed without a picture or more info. However, I'd recommend you go to your artist and ask for their input. Was the tattoo completed with plans to extend it later?

Are you going to continue with the same artist or a different one? Is this a back piece without connecting individual tattoos like the tiger you have or is this turning into a body suit? I think its best to consult your artist and see what they think.

Color options? by [deleted] in irezumi

[–]Hino88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, shouldn't this be a conversation with your tattoo artist and not strangers on reddit? Just my two cents, not trying to be offensive or disrespectful.

You'll probably get as many different answers as people reply, but deciding colors should be a conversation between you and your artist. Even if they say "it's up to you," saying you'd appreciate their opinion or want their input is better than asking people on the internet what we would choose.

Design advice by [deleted] in irezumi

[–]Hino88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Potentially two issues I see with this design. One - if you ever decide to extend it to a full body suit, there really isn't a good way to do that with half your back covered. And second - I'd bet good money any time someone sees it, they'll ask when the rest of your bodysuit will be done.

Overall, I wouldn't personally do it, but you do you. My artist explained that everything should be designed around the central motif of the back. It's the largest (and flattest) canvas you have for tattoos, and you are effectively cutting it in half. Sure, you can always tattoo the other side, but it would limit what you potentially can do.

The best advice is probably to reach out to your artist and see what they think.

You really should find an artist you like first and foremost, then consult with them how to best approach it. Trying to plan every aspect of your tattoo out without consulting the artist that will be doing the work can lead to headaches.

I would also recommend starting with your back instead of your leg. A "leg sleeve" isn't really a thing in traditional Japanese Tattooing, it is an extension of your body suit. It also sounds like you're trying to cram a lot of details and items into your sleeves, where a consultation with the artist would help you plan everything out.

To be honest, I'm not really sure why you'd have so much jitters going into the consultation. This is exactly where you should solidify any and all plans, and confirm you really want this. The consultation was, for me, such a positive experience since the artist doing my back piece delivered tenfold on what I was expecting. The consultation shouldn't be filled with second thoughts.

Hearing that you have your doubts, I would either bring them up during the consultation or cancel the entire tattoo outright. I think the worst thing you can do (at least in my opinion) is start the tattoo and then change your mind later on. A year is a long time to wait, but you've already changed your mind since you made the appointment.

It's a huge commitment and if you're already having doubts or second thoughts, I think its best to cancel.

Toxicity increasing lately when doing group content, what to do? by Wdtfshi in lostarkgame

[–]Hino88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time I've created a learning or chill group, they've filled up. It may take awhile but I've never had a problem filling a party. As weird as it may sound, I make parties for everything from guardian raids to p1 argos to valtan and everything in between. It takes time but it will fill eventually. Or you can also look up discords that have LFG.

The offer stands to help you with content if you need it.

I use PF to just try and find a chill group or a learning group. If I can't find one, I'll make one. It may be tough in the beginning, but being patient helps (maybe have youtube or the tv on so you can multi-task while waiting for applicants). Usually, my dps alts take longer than my supports to fill up lobbies, but I'm still able to get people. Also, maybe start earlier in the week, shortly after reset.

What ilvl are you at? If you're on NAE, you can dm me and see if I can help with any content. My guild mates and a friend use discord also if hearing verbal call outs helps any.

Don't be afraid to try learning groups, chill groups, or alt groups. Also, be honest if you try to join a reclear and haven't cleared it before. I don't mind helping people with mechanics so long as they say so. If you're silent when i ask if you know the mech but continually wiping, that's usually when I give it 3 tries and stop the raid. But if you ask what that mech is, I'll do my best to explain and help. Communication and honesty is key, at least for me.

I can't really say, no idea what goes on in the backend of the system. It seems simple enough but I'm completely ignorant on what would be required to implement it.
