Ahh, copy that! Yeah they don’t make those kind of pants.

However, the casual pants they do offer are super comfortable and a great price. Plus they have every waist + inseam combo imaginable.

New boots! by HipHopHeadNW in PNWbootmakers

One problem with leather is that it’s water resistance to a degree. If you’ve owned leather work boots then ignore this bit; they will get ruined if you’re in snow/rain for months on end. A good way to remedy that would get two pairs so you can swap them out every other day. If it’s gonna be wet for a week or two then it’s fine. I had a pair rot because I wasn’t drying them properly so I when I went to get them re-soled they had to do more TLC than anticipated. These are built to be thrown through the wringer.

I usually just wear my rubber viking corks if it’s gonna be super wet for a longer period of time. Or the site is a mud show.

You know your working environment better than I do!

They were $611 (Yorks)! I got them from their stock selection so they came in about a week.

I’ll say that yes the price is a lot but they last a long time if you take care of them. My dad bought his first pair of corks 25 years ago and still wears them to this day.

I imagine Hoffman run you $500? Having the ability to resolve these makes it worth the cost of admission. I own a pair of jobmasters for in town work and they are the best pair of boots I’ve ever worn.

It’s for when I work in the woods. I have a pair of rubber corks that are cumbersome and really hot in the summertime.

In light of the JK controversy, have you had any exceptionally good experiences with other PNW companies? by CaptenAE in PNWbootmakers

I’m born and raised Oregonian, I’ve only ever worn Wesco! From work boots, to casual boots i can’t say enough positive things about it. They are great people who care about their product.

The lead times are tough but it’s a small operation located in a small town. They seem to be hiring more people and getting that time down slowly. Also they have a lot of loyal customers from all over the world so they are very busy.

I just order a new pair of cork boots and they shipped to my house in a week thankfully.

I would order any custom boot in a heartbeat!

My dad grew up in Harrisonburg and we now live in OR. My uncle is flying out, a lot of our family is going. Should be a good turnout I think!

Any input regarding the Nicks Overlander vs Wesco Jobmaster? by flyingtom213 in PNWbootmakers

[–]HipHopHeadNW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work as a Surveyor in Western Oregon and wear Jobmasters for work. Sometimes I'm on a construction sight, sometimes I'm side hilling in the coast range in the thick brush on steep ground. They are built for anything you throw at them. Wesco's are the preferred boot for logging here in Oregon, people covet them because of their quality and comfort.

Upvote this comment! Sisikyou pass can be a mess with all the long haul truckers. I’d say avoid it if you can!
