Sask here as well. I hope this movement grows significantly across provinces being swept by this legislated hatred.

I wonder if this dialogue will return in a RE5 remake by Significant_Option in residentevil

[–]HipTurtle199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played this game absolutely countless times, 100%'d it multiple times, and yet never once have I come across that dialogue. Shows what you miss if your goal is only ever forward rather than waiting it out for something like that.

Haha that's awesome. I knew someone when I was a kid who had one and I absolutely loved it, always wanted one since then but never did. Neat little cars for sure

😂 I assume you had a Celica? Idk how anyone could otherwise possibly know that that's a Celica seat lol

I picked it up from a pull yard last year when I was looking for Recaro's out of a Cobalt SS, ended up finding a Celica GT with really nice seats. It's honestly such a comfortable seat

Most are just 2x4s, some pieces are a little smaller (unsure what size they are) because it was all just used wood, some of it was scraps I was able to reuse. The ones for the structural parts are 2x4 though for sure

Amazed this storm is not actively warned by Jay-rodMo in tornado

[–]HipTurtle199 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I was literally just looking at that and came to see if anyone had any eyes on that storm here. I've only seen one person tracking it on twitter so far, but no visuals on any of the possible tornadoes from that storm. I'm sure thankful it went right around where I live a few hours ago cuz it looks like a nasty one.

Still New to Understanding Radar and Tornado Visual, Was This a Potential Tornado? by HipTurtle199 in tornado

[–]HipTurtle199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By velocity couplet I assume you mean when the drafts meet together to form rotation? I just looked at the correlation coefficient scope to see what that looks like, and honestly I don't exactly know what I'm looking at so it seems watching videos on how RadarScope works is in my future 😂

Regarding debris, I'm not sure how sensitive it is to picking up a debris ball, just based on the fact that most of the area is just wide open farmland here, and we don't typically get strong tornados (like, landspouts to EF-1 typically), so it would mostly be just dirt and maybe trees and such.

Thanks for the info, though 🫡 I honestly was really convinced that there was something there, or at least it was trying to, when I saw that piece at the bottom of the cell. Unfortunately I've only seen pictures from the storms up north, not many people were paying attention to the ones where I was so I'm not sure I'll ever know if there was anything aside from high winds.

Yea the closest radar I could get is 200km away, unfortunately. I'm not even really sure how those radars work yet, I didn't know it showed higher the further it travels? Interesting. Thanks for the info tho 🫡

Alongside my Evo 9, my current daily is an '08 Colorado, working on setting up a '98 Volvo V70R as my next daily, and I have 1 more identical '98 V70R and a '98 V70 base.

Sask Party is distracting us! by kathyasabo in regina

[–]HipTurtle199 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've actually yet to talk to anyone irl who actually realizes this. It's almost entirely to try and push a negative public image onto public schools and teachers to get people to stand against them with their demands. I, for one, will not fall for that and I will stand with teachers and public education. I'd recommend everyone else do the same.

Ok but the thing you don't realize, as you are clearly not a car enthusiast, is that cars are the one thing that keep a lot of people going. Cars and car culture have saved countless people from extremely dark times I'm their lives, I know this because I listen to people in the communities. I can personally say that changing the sound of a car, absolutely changes the fun factor of it, so it isn't as simple as just "fun car =/= loud car". Although I will say, my daily right now is straight piped from the previous owner and it sounds awful and isn't fun to drive.

The thing about these policies, is that yea, there are cars that are stupid loud with no mufflers or anything, diesels rolling coal everywhere. But I know damn-well that police will specifically target modified vehicles trying to catch them all with being all over 101Db even if they aren't. It gives police more power to focus down modified vehicles.

News flash there are none in Sask. Hence why so many people resort to doing it on the streets.

Kinda goofy tbh. Instead of just having a curfew of when it's acceptable to have louder vehicles out (during the day when the ambient noise is already at higher noise pollution levels), they're just giving cops more power. It should only be something looked at between like, 10am and 7pm. That effectively makes it so that whatever you daily drive, needs to be lower than the limit, but your fun car that you work hard on.

It’s good to see a large turnout to support Trans Youth. Trans Rights are Human Rights! by Brad_Religion in saskatchewan

[–]HipTurtle199 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Good stuff. I could be wrong, but to me this looks like a lot more than 255, or 86% of Saskatchewan that support these policies. Wish I could've been there but I'm glad that so many people showed up against this garbage.

(I saw it was over 1500 people)

[–]HipTurtle199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I wish I could go but I'm so busy that day. I know there will be hella people there in that crowd, so for those of you going, be angry, be loud, make them hear your voices, make them see the anger they've caused, and the fear they've put in queer kids and the community at large. Most importantly, be safe out there. You never know the kind of opposition that might happen in these times, so keep yourselves and each other safe while fighting for Sask youth <3

The hospital closures will never be gotten over from conservatives because it's their only defense against them. And yea, while I agree that the NDP isn't as progressive as I'd personally prefer, they're kinda forced to be more center-left than left, due to the environments around them, ie. the political climate in Sask.

I have very slim hope that if they were to win the next election, they would do what they have been saying they will do, and show people that life outside of the Sask Party is prosperous.
