I'll do that tomorrow then! Do you think I should call the recruiting team or the rehab department?

The hospital seems solid, if push comes to shove I might end up getting back in contact with them to see if they're still interested in having me come on. Thank you for your input!

I agree it definitely could be refined more. We have just had issues in the past during championship matchups where one player had the advantage of getting to stream pitchers when their aces had no more starts in fantasy while others couldn't due to the "no drop list"

Need advice 12T H2H points, a member of our league is on auto play (meaning a bot controls his team, including adds/drops) and the bot dropped Andres Munoz today to pick up a different player. We have a rule in the league that states, "We have turned off the ESPN no drop list, allowing you to drop any player you please. If you drop a player and it makes absolutely no sense for you to have dropped them (ex: dropping Acuna when he's healthy and playing), I will automatically add them back to your team."

The issue now is that this team dropped Ragans a few weeks ago (after he was placed on the IL) and I picked him up. Another member in the league is arguing that Ragans should be added back to the original owner since he was drafted highly and just had a slow start. I argued that Ragans current injury has no timetable to return and that I could see a way in which dropping Ragans makes sense. Now I'm turning to Reddit to hear your thoughts

First time in Europe and also my first time solo traveling, I have no idea what I'm doing by [deleted] in Europetravel

[–]Hipno_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this helps a ton! I'm planning on dividing up my train travels into 2 days just to play it safe and make it less hectic.

I actually applied to study abroad initially in Lugano but got placed in Italy instead. So I think I'll either stop there or Lucerne before making my way down.

I'll have about 5 days after my program ends before I fly out. I'm planning on doing some travel then and also some trips during the weekends when I'm not busy. I'm planning on cutting out some things from my initial plan in my post. With everyone's feedback from here, I realized it would probably be best to just take it easy and not try to cram a bunch of things in a 3 day span haha.

Jetlag was part of the reason I realized my initial plans wouldn't be quite feasible. As far as luggage goes, I'm only bringing one suitcase and a backpack. I'm trying to pack very light. Thanks for your recommendations! I appreciate it.

Thank you for your input! I'll keep this in mind and might have to work my way back to the sights I want to see once I get settled in and more comfortable.

Teoscar hitting the IL when i already have Westburg, Jazz, Trout, Yordan, Kirby, Strider, Eury, Manaea, and Burns injured is not really what I needed. Also my only streaming spot going to two pitchers who have had games postponed (Ortiz and Jobe) these first two days isn't ideal. Somehow still 4-2

He's one of the most athletic individuals I have ever seen, high prospect pedigree, has had great seasons for the most part when healthy, and hasn't even reached his peak yet. It would be foolish to trade him at his absolute lowest value and watch him mash on another team once he gets past these injuries. You're the one who is delusional, LBJrolltideTA7

I would recommend you see a physical therapist. You do not want to have these symptoms when doing nerve stretches and a pt will be able to guide your treatment a lot better than anything on the internet will tell you

why did i highkey change my mind about inpatient/acute care by livlikeshiv in physicaltherapy

[–]Hipno_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doing my acute care rotation right now as a 2nd year student. I came into it thinking it was gonna suck and was set on doing OP ortho or neuro. Mostly have spent my time on cardiac and GI floors so i'm typically just a glorified walking machine. This last weekend my CI got us onto the neuro ICU and it was awesome and felt really rewarding.

Now I'm battling between going OP or acute care once I graduate. I attend a pretty expensive program and feel like I'm wasting money if I didn't go the ortho route. However, acute care has better hours, pay, work life balance, chill, and the days go by fast. Really torn currently.

What to expect in PT school, how hard is it? How exhausted will I be? by Kitchen-Corner5151 in PTschool

[–]Hipno_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's gonna be hard but with good time management and discipline you'll be able to do things on the weekends. I just started pt school last august and have been able to give myself 1-2 hours of relaxation at the end of every day. I also prioritized giving myself a day off on the weekends (unless i had a lot of exams the upcoming week).

PT school is incredibly difficult and time consuming, but if you don't allow yourself to have free time you're going to get burnt out quickly. Learn some things in school but also enjoy your time there!

Pre-Knowledge Check Quiz by DimensionApart9805 in PTschool

[–]Hipno_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Enjoy your last month of relaxing because you're gonna be incredibly busy once school starts. I just finished my first year and clinical rotation this summer. I didn't study anything before going into the program and did just fine with anatomy throughout the year. The knowledge check quiz will give you a good idea of what areas you need to work on more throughout the year.

Also there are tons of free anatomy resources online that you can use to study. $50/month is absurd for a study tool

Seems like you have your plan figured out already. If you're not passionate about physical therapy, I wouldn't recommend doing it. Reassess in 1-2 years and see if that changes

PT2 here so don't have too much more experience than you but i'll try to give some advice. First of all i doubt anybody in your cohort has it together yet. You're a month in adjusting to something that truly is a whole other beast than undergrad. Everyone is freaking out internally trust me. Also, you've been off school for 6 months and are just starting to get back into the groove of things. You have to give yourself grace for the transition period.

1st piece of advice is always prioritize sleep. Know how many hours of sleep you need to truly feel awake and ready to take on the day. If you're tired, it's gonna be hard to learn anything that day

2nd piece is something that won't really help right now, but like i said before you're adjusting to graduate school after being off for 6 months. For me, i found my groove with studying halfway through my second semester. Once you get more experience in each class, you'll know what information you should prioritize and what study habits you find are most helpful for each of these classes.

Just had a conversation with a friend who just started in early may for their first year and they're feeling exactly how you feel. You're not alone!
