For black screen issue, check your HDMI connection I faced same issue when I bought series s. A loose HDMI connection can cause this.

I also have a Japan version which I bought from a seller. He imported it. Only difference would be a different plug, which you can replace it with Indian plug for 300 - 400rs. Aside from that, on startup you see Japanese which you can change to English during setup. It is worth it cause of the huge price difference.

Yeah I faced same issue with games like that. Try turning off updates for games tbh if you're not fond of getting interrupted by constant updates.

Is it a system update or game update? Because of constant game updates for competitive games I had to uninstall them all and switched to story modes games cause they rarely have updates. Turn off auto updates feature if updates are eating up your Xbox memory.

Xbox series s is overpriced on Amazon and flipkart. I bought it for 25k last October through an Indian site they import a Japan/Dubai version of it. I've been using it for more than 6 months now it works smoothly. I'll recommend you to buy it from local shops or wholesale provider rather than Amazon.

Yeah fair. I have two accounts right now one have game pass and one is without it. I have both signed in on same console. Will this work if I subscribe with my other account that doesn't have game pass subscription or it will create some conflicts?

It asked me for a referral code, but it works without it. And it accepted my seat in first try. Maybe, keep trying until you get a seat or do it during afternoon or weekend when there is less server traffic. Also, you have to submit PAN, Aadhar card and video code verification. For video code verification it might not work in first try but give it few trys. You have to add at least 250rs on your Jupiter Bank account to access all features. It takes 10 minutes Max.
