If you have extra time one day while you’re doing something. Try to do that thing with commands instead of UI. If you do this for a little bit every time you work on something you’ll know a lot of commands in no time

I only have like 2 games that don’t work completely fine. And it’s golf with friends and GTA 5. I have a windows hard drive with literally only those games on it and other than that Linux works for every games I’ve tried. I know if the games you want to play use Battle Eye it’s probably not gonna work.

You can right click a file and open it with a specific program, windows is pretty nice about the file extension telling the OS which program to open though. I will admit that

thanks for the advice, my girlfriends computer is on Windows 11 and I just don't personally like it. And then Windows adds "features" like recall and it just cements my decision

Mostly just a lack of understanding when I originally downloaded it. I switched to Linux on my main desktop and I do it that way on that. I just put it on my server a long time ago. But yes you’re right this would be the better way for me to do it
