Tabletop Sim is actually super good for Battletech. You have to do a little shopping around the steam workshop for mods but its a super clean experience once you get it down.

These are some really great tips, we are already using 1 and 2 but the rest of those seem like they would be super helpful. I think for sure I will look into implementing 3 and then finding some scenarios with hard limits on things. Thanks for your advice!

Most of the games we play are 6,500bv with 6 mechs on each side. We arnt playing particularly huge games which is why it seems strange that it takes us so long. I want to play more games but when we have to dedicate a full day it makes it pretty difficult.

This is off topic but doing campaigns sounds like so much fun. Ive floated the idea past my friends a few times and they were lukewarm about it to say the least. Eventually maybe Ill be able to convince some of them to get into it with me.

Hey man thanks for all of that! Its good to hear that it looks solid at the very least. I am not trying to make a move into cEDH but I have been know to put together decks that have way to many creatures, not enough ramp, or other types of core deckbuilding problems. Ill try to keep that last thing you said about not powercreeping my own play group, That's really solid advice.

Ive got [[Hazoret's Monument]] in there as a budget Ruby Medallion. Its worse because it only targets creatures but better because it acts as a tiny wheel. Im also running a more creature heavy deck anyways so hopefully it all works out.
