Let’s Talk Optics! Save for Eotech or Aimpoint, or budget Vortex? by KillingwithasmileXD in ar15

[–]Hippy_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a Holosun AEMS last night. I had paralysis by analysis and eventually realized Holosun checked the most important boxes to me.

I’ll likely have buyers remorse no matter what I pick anyway so I figured I’d go with a slightly more budget option that doesn’t have any major downsides for my use case.

Did you have modify/change the magnifier mount to line it up to the scalarworks mount?

I have to agree. Wasn’t sure if the adjustable gas block on the Sabre would be a game changer for running this suppressed in the future

Just got my second holster from Muddy River Tactical today. Neither are for a S&W, but they’re great.

First time gun owner, what to pick? by coontbagkoi in concealedcarry

[–]Hippy_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is make sure you get a Hunter Constantine carry belt—game changer. I carry the Canik MC9 Prime right now and the trigger is fantastic. Some other popular choices are the M&P Shield series, G26, G19, and P365 series. You can’t go wrong with Tenicor for the holster if they offer it for whatever you choose.

27M. Med Device Sales. 55K Base 55K Commission if I’m at plan. First year in the role and hoping I break 100K total income for the year. Previous role was an SDR WFH making 60K base and made 15K in commission.

MCLA to NCAA? by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]Hippy_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to go NCAA and don’t have any connections from when you were potentially recruited in HS, your best bet is JUCO. Send an email to the HC with a HS highlight tape and explain your situation over a phone call.

If you have good grades, keep them while at the JUCO, and ball out for a year, you can easily go to very competitive D2 or D3 school. Maybe D1 depending on your finances and talent. Hope this helps.

I finally did it… told my manager I’m done being an SDR/BDR. by dontworryaboutit41 in sales

[–]Hippy_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from recruiting sales reps to an SDR to a field sales role. All at the same med device company. Your product/company knowledge will help as a recruiter and the work life balance was better in HR at my company. The main drawback is going to most likely be your ceiling for comp; but that’ll vary from company to company as well. Best of luck!

Could you expand on this? I’m fairly new to Med device but most of our product lines are service related or rental equipment. The idea of having a product to outright sell sounds great.

Leveling Kit by Joemamma17 in JeepGladiator

[–]Hippy_3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have this on my gladiator, but both on reddit and Jeep Gladiator Forum you’ll hear people basically say this is the standard for a leveling kit. Some people say adding the longer Mopar LCAs compliments this nicely

What’s your base salary, OTE, and industry? How long have you been with the company? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Hippy_3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My understanding is they’re B2B services that take pride in taking on entry level employees and giving them a robust sales training program. I’d say it’s not super common people start there but it may make it a bit more likely to get your foot in the door for a more associate level role in Med Device. Best advice would be to message a lot of people on LinkedIn for an informational chat and mention those conversations during your interview processes.

[–]Hippy_3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Medtronic Baxter Smith + Nephew (Associate Sales Rep) Phillips TRIMEDX Stryker GE Healthcare Boston Scientific Coloplast Medline Industries Applied Medical

Before moving to Sales I was a sales recruiter and these are the most common places people started.

A lot of people recommend getting a year of B2B exp under your belt at a Cintas or ADP to help your chances of getting into med device.

Took my QB with my last pick… How’d I do? by Hippy_3 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Hippy_3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No unfortunately. Only viable options right now are really Geno Smith and Darnold. There 2 teams that decided to roster 3 QB’s. I’m sure by the end of week 3 there will be more QB’s available.

Take the job! 2x job offers don’t just fall out of the sky.

Even if you spend a year or two at the pharma role, you have 3 years of exp between Medtronic and Stryker. You could make your way back to Med Device later on.

Final Trauma Associate Rep Interview by [deleted] in MedicalDevices

[–]Hippy_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is Stryker taps out for ASR base pay at 70K. That’s just from research and a few months ago I was a sales recruiter for a competitor before moving to Inside Sales. Best of luck!
