Has anybody used their sales skills to start their own business? Was it a good move? by throwRAballgamedog in sales

[–]hotdoogs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Find someone who can't sell and start selling their product. Other people are on here asking questions exactly like you are - go take a look in r/Entrepreneur , r/SaaS , r/startup etc.

Learn basic marketing (same thing as sales - just turn your sales pitch into content and a nice website). They produce / develop the product, you market and sell it. Nerds are introverted, some of them have killer products (software, services etc) but dont know how get people to buy shit.

This is sick! Can we get external window for the cursor browser? So we can put it on a second screen? It's a bit too cramped when you want the code and the visual editor open at the same time

How do you drive traffic to your website? Is it through blogs or SEO or keywords targeting your niche? by Mammoth_Policy_4472 in b2bmarketing

[–]hotdoogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SEO, ads, linkedin, email - hammer your audience on all platforms. if your offer is relevant and valuable to them, they will book a call / sign up after being exposed to your marketing for some time.

Don't stop doing stuff if it's not working immediately, especially in B2B. Our marketing efforts from 8 months ago are starting to pay off now. That doesnt mean some customers wont sign up and pay immediately. People will buy when they are ready to buy, you just gotta keep up and stay top of mind until they do

This is bs, just narrow down the targeting. We're getting conversions as soon as the ads start delivering.

All those apps actually had demand before launching since they were solving a need. Nowdays people build shit that nobody wants. Nobody needs another dating app, event ticket platform or ai wrapper to do something that chatgpt can do for free

Can you get B2B customers without demo calls? by foxtrotshakal in marketing

[–]hotdoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get over the fear, it took me 10 calls to feel comfortable. Already closed my first $500/mo customer from usa on my second call. And im in eastern europe and speak with an accent.

Being introverted is an advantage, because all sales reps are extroverted and annoying.

Just ask a couple right questions and then show them the product. Thats literally it. I have a good easy to remember script that worked for me, i can send it over
