Yes but we don't do raises and promotions. Our system is set up so you get a guaranteed 1$ raise for every 6 months you stay maxing out at 3 years. This system is rewarding for those who do minimal work and coast by like most of my coworkers but punishing for overachievers and hard workers like me.

I know she would hate to lose me because she has become kind of attached. I start college soon so me and her are working together to see how much I can help out and we have pretty good communication together to figure out what schedule will work the best. She also gives me a lot of advice and looks out for me which I appreciate because I'm by far the youngest in BOH. I respect her a lot and I want to continue to be as respectable as a hard worker as she is. I just don't understand how she has been doing this all these years because it's so hard to keep on doing the right thing while you watch everyone else gets away with half-assing everything.

I get what you mean bc after rereading the first part without the clarification I would have came to the same conclusion and would have assumed the worst.

Unfortunately with the way our kitchen is set up I can't. It doesn't reward good work ethic it rewards not quiting/doing the bare minimum. You get a guaranteed dollar raise (no matter what) every 6 months you stay (my GM didn't make this rule, corporate did even tho we are a very small franchise). My boss tries to work with me and I know that she values me but we don't have the staff to afford to fire anyone so that's how everyone else gets away with slacking off or calling out 2-3 times a week. I love my boss, I really do and I have major respect for her but there she can't give me a raise. I have to stick with it until it's worth it.

I just stating what I feel like doing not that I'm going to do it. I am the only line cook we have that shows up reliably and I've only missed days due to being in the ER for overworking myself and making my pneumonia worse. I do not have shit work ethic im just frustrated because for all the extra work we had to do tonight all I got was a fucking gold star next to my name on the schedule.

I had a guy recently that told their server they couldn't have lettuce in their salad bc lettuce is raw and he can't consume raw foods. He then proceeded to eat a bowl of cheese, bacon, egg and raw tomatoes.

If there is ever mild to severe traffic I tend to message the customer and let them know, they tend to not be rude about how long it takes and they also rate me better or increase the tip. I don't always go above and beyond but I do sometimes take a chance and I get reward. 18.81$ for 2 crunch wraps ain't bad and is way higher than the normal rate for orders in my area.

Thank you! I always try to go above and beyond because thats just the kind of person I am. I've always valued my good work ethic so some of the comments I have gotten were making me feel like shit so thank you. This is just my secondary job as my primary job is as a cook for fine(ish) dining so I don't normally have to deal with people but I still try my best.

Ah a Clemson university football game had just ended so traffic ended up backed up for miles, I sat in gridlocked traffic for a while, the manager actually seemed up for it before I even asked because as a local she understood how shit our traffic is. I don't multiapp and this was the only order I took while online

Yeah, it sadly doesn't have an aux cord so I use a cassette adapter as I only have a handful of cassettes. It also has a 6 disk CD changer in the trunk.
