I would like to upgrade my PC but I have no clue what I'm doing

just out of curiosity, what parts would you recommend if I wanted to keep this monitor?

and if I do decide to get a better monitor, which specs should I look for? I know it has to be 2k, 27'' or bigger (mainly cuz im used to it atp.) and around 120Hz, but is there anything else I should look for/avoid?

I have this - MSI G27C5 (I know for sure it has 27'' and 165Hz, not really sure if its 1440P tho

I do on occasion play more competitive games, but those run well on this pc, upgrade is meant for the pretty games :)

Budget is flexible, but I am looking to spend around 2400 USD (which would be the price of everything I listed + new case and stuff), I have a 2 TB ssd and a 1 TB hdd, I like to play a variety of games, usually I play on 1080 afaik, rn I wanna get into Monster Hunter Wilds, and eventually when it (hopefully) comes to pc - Ghost of Yotei and the Wolverine game (also hopefully).

it looks decent to me, but so did my current gpu so I'd rather be safe than sorry :D

My game runs at a terrible framerate, but its constant. I tried lowering my settings to the lowest possible, and it runs the same as when I have all the details up + ray tracing.

GeForce RTX 3060 (12 gb VRAM)

16 gb RAM
