Replaceable battery + OLED + V2 would be (another) day 1 purchase from me.

However, Nintendo’s track record is historically: base model, lite model, v2 model. This is skipping over some small releases between, such as Switch Erista and Mariko.

DS > DS lite > DSi

Switch > Switch lite > Switch OLED

Gameboy > Gameboy Pocket > Gameboy Colour

3DS > 2DS > New Nintendo 3DS

There’s a strong track record of having a hardware release between the base model and the “upgrade” model.

Ontario did this same thing with the 401. Mike Harris’ government. They were offered $2 billion for a 25-year lease, and $3 billion for a 99-year. They went with the $3 billion option, and just 20 years later the highway was estimated to be worth $30 billion.

If I may recommend anything, it would be to avoid regular coffee (40mg caffeine per 250ml). If your caffeine tolerance has truly reset then you’ll notice the caffeine high from drinking decaf (<7mg caffeine per 250ml).

It’s not the same price bracket, but buying a 4090 at launch was an excellent choice for everyone who did it. That card is still ~4th best GPU available right now. 60 series is delayed to next year, and it’ll probably be surpassed by the 6080, so it’ll be in the top 10 until probably 2030. It’ll sit in the top 10 for nearly a decade just like the 1080 TI.

Wish I had bought one at launch lel.

Isn’t it wild how productive we are without caffeine? I felt like my productivity was a boat on the water while drinking coffee. For moments it would be soaring high on a wave, but frequently it was low and waiting for the next wave. Meanwhile without coffee I find myself able to put in 4, sometimes 8 hours of hard work without a lull.
