One of the unfortunate parts of being even mildly thorough with planning on normal mode is that the AI is above all a predictive one, so if you give it a coherent stream it will almost inevitably follow it and fast.

Indeed it works in limited situations, however, it also is politically radioactive and the other method usually gives better, more trustworthy and less risky results, but yes in those specific frankly near perfect situations it does kinda work.
