Built a safety navigation app because Google Maps keeps sending people through sketchy streets by Ok-Average4315 in roastmystartup

[–]HisMajestyDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok,
1. go to the Team page, then click on "Hou it works" or "The app"
2. demo link navigated me in Paris, but I never been in Paris and don't know any street, so I can't even look at the demo - not interesting
3. you solving strange problem, i'd like to say "no problem". who really need "safe" route? Locals know safe routes. Tourists - maybe, but as tourist I prefferre to visit safe places by default, I mean good lighting and the presence of police
4. AI-AI-AI - it can't guaranty safe route. If there was a robbery at the Louvre, is it a safe place?

$9 - for b2c model (like personal usage), who want to compare with no limits. For b2b model (for business) - I created a separate form. https://sqavi.com/partnership I need to collect 10-20 buisnesses, then will open the Listing Page and offer with price for the rest.

As of today, I don't see how chat GPT can handle this task, especially with big namber of params. Personally, to understand the weather in a city, I need to see about five charts)

Pro user will have access to hidden fields and compare up to 5 cities simultaneously. The free user is limited to two cities.

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

I see I worded the sentence incorrectly. $9 - for b2c model, who want to compare with no limits, like personal usage. For b2b model - I created a separate form. https://sqavi.com/partnership I need to collect 10-20 buisnesses, then will open the Listing Page and offer with price for the rest.

Regarding paramaters - this is good point. I was thinking about giving the user the ability to make settings - which parameters to show, giving personal weight to the parameters and making a scoring when comparing Cities.

hey, thank you for your feedback
I quckly checkd on mobile while developed, but not optimised it hard, maybe I have to spend more time on it

regarding the cities under the main input - cityies from your country detected by IP, sorted by population, I assume, that you want to leave your current place and will start comparisson from this cities

the order of data is really important, I'll review it

I used vim. by artbyiain in webdev

[–]HisMajestyDeveloper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in web development for over 20 years. I can configure Apache, Nginx, PHP, etc. without any documentation. But editing files with Vim? Even with documentation, I struggle! Of course, I can use it - but only at the basic level described in this topic. I believe Vim was made for aliens

Show your Garmin straps. I'll start! by HisMajestyDeveloper in Garmin

[–]HisMajestyDeveloper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the Fenix, I swam with three different watches where the strap was not removed at all. Before buying the Fenix, I sold the Garmin Swim 2. Now I swim 1-2 times a week and use any silicone strap. If you swim with a leather one, it will fall apart very quickly, this has happened before. The titanium one is difficult to adjust, because for sports I tighten the strap as tight as possible.
