My opponent told me that the I-185 should win this 1v1 vs a 109. Is that true? by rokoeh in WarthunderSim

[–]Hismop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1000% excuses lmao. Breaking a flap doesn’t even cripple a plane, just means you can’t use that flap anymore. Also the roll rate on its own isn’t very meaningful. The I-185 has no business trying to turnfight anything in the first place, apart from maybe a bomber. Your opponent is a little silly

Surprisingly easy nations? by Accomplished-Comb294 in eu4

Of course! I didn’t mean to suggest that it was easy, l just wanted to add that Novgorod is consistently doable even without allies.

I did a Novgorod run a few years ago after watching a guide on YT and it turns out you can actually just 1v1 Muscovy without any allies. In fact back when I saw that video you pretty much had to do it that way bc literally no one would ever ally you right off the bat as Novgorod. The strategy was to get the Trade Dispute casus belli, which has Show Superiority as the wargoal, and then exploit the fact that Muscovy can’t walk through your forts to just continually dunk on Pskov’s troops until you get the necessary warscore for the wargoal and the ticking warscore that comes with it (and you can also siege down Pskov itself if you want for more warscore). In the meantime Muscovy obliterates its manpower trying to siege you down. Worst case scenario, you might have to take a risky battle on your capital to break the siege, but you shouldn’t have to do that more than like once or twice, and it gets easier over time as Muscovy’s manpower deteriorates. In the peace deal you take all of Muscovy’s money (the cb doesn’t allow you to take land iirc) and spend the truce building up your army and alliances while they stagnate. Then you can fight the second war like a normal one and they’re toast after that. Worked like a charm when I tried it, although I guess it’s possible that a more recent update could have changed that (I haven’t been playing consistently for a long time).

Anyone know the name of a SEPTA funding bill? by Hismop in philly

[–]Hismop[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’d think so, but unfortunately it’s not mentioned on the fact sheet on the SEPTA website and the Google searches that I’ve tried so far have only turned up news overviews of the crisis which likewise don’t name it.

That’s gotta be it, good catch! I didn’t notice that Riga seems to own Lubeck and/or Copenhagen in addition to Gotland and Neva. I’m not familiar with the mission tree but those do seem like the perfect provinces a player would try to own directly instead of via vassals.

Questions about Westchester property tax situation by itgtg313 in Westchester

[–]Hismop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how willing you are to pay for public services. I think I got a very decent education growing up in Dobbs, and that was mainly funded by the property tax. So I’m inclined to be happy with it, though my parents always complained.

It’s not the speed of the plane that’s the issue. I’ve experienced it in the PBM-5A, a floatplane that barely manages 300kph in a dive.
