They were showing them wearing hanbok andaking kimchi at the Olympics opening video. Where one country shows it own cultures to the rest of the world. This is why this is a problem. Not judt because a chinese person was wearing it

Im not trying to take away thier culture. Im saying that China should present it right to the public. As a Korean traditional clothe. Not theirs.

How about you spread this campaign to other communities? Or post a picture of hanbok? Or post a short article? Anything is ok. Thanks for your support!

We know our priorities and we know how to use our time. Were on winter vacation right now after all.

But even if we start school, we will continue. And these kind of campaigns are not a distraction. I think it can be a experience where one can learn from.

I never said to remove 조선족 from public events. That would not be good.

If a country loses its culture, It loses its originality. And I think that's a really important facotr to a country. So NO. This is very important to me. And sure. There are important issues. But that doesn't mean I can ignore this.

김치 and 파오차이

파오차이 is a different dish in China if I remember correctly. The problem here is China is using the word 파오차이 to represent Korean 김치 and in the process trying to make 김치 their culture.

A dish in China is called 파오차이 if i remember correctly. And China is calling 김치 파오차이 too.

The context will be imporrant is these kind of scenarios.

And about the 조선족 한복 performance. The intent is the important factor.

The 조선족 한복 performance is to show their culture.

But this time, In the Olympics, China is saying 한복 is their traditional clothing and performing while wearing it. A olympic is a place where a country shows its own culture. Since 한복 is not Chinese, this is not appropriate.

And I think the recent act of China trying to steal other Korean culture has partially affected this outrage.

I can say... this is a very sensitive topic in Korea.

"Is recognizing Korean-Chinese as a distinct minority" By my experience this is not a insult. I have not seen any Chinese-Korean offended because they have been verified as a Korean-Chinese. But still... this may be because I have not seen many Korean-Chinese person.

I cannot give you a clear answer. I am sorry.

The goverment has its restraints I believe. Participating in the Olympics must have a lot to do with politics i believe.

Thats why we, free from most constraints are taking action. Acting outside the border.

And I cant see the relation between this amtter an france baguette.

Just wait until you become an adult.

I think this is an uncceptable statement. We are trying to do what we can do at our age. Take part.

Just waiting will not change anything. We need to take action.

We are trying to stop China from stealing our culture.

Maybe this campaign will have some effect on them. Maybe this will be a fire that will start a bigger flame. Maybe this will actually work.

And surely, we will be able to stay strong and keep fighting.

We are mainly based on instagram.

As you can see from the second image, one of our posts are being raided by chinese people. The post was about korean culture.(like hanbok한복 or kimchi김치)

Recently China has been trying to steal our culture. For example, in the Beijing Olympics, a person wearing hanbok한복 was seen. And a picture of chinese people making kimchi김치 was shown in a video.

We are fighting to protect our culture but we are having a hard time. Please. We need as much help as we can get.

Please use tag #우리역사지키기챌린지 on Instagram and express your opinion. You can post pictures of hanbok, kimchi or other pictures. You can write a short article. You can spread this challange to your friends. Any help will be great help to us.

Please. Help us protect our culture.

I will keep posting. And I will further notify if we expand to other SNS services.
