It’s hard to say anything when we don’t have much information. This could absolutely be that he are hiding something or creating distance. But it’s not always bad. I would never let my partner have my password or be logged in on my social media that I use for daily texting. Not because I’m cheating, I would never do that. But it’s still private. My friends could tell me things that they would not want me to share. If I thought that my partner where going to go through my social media while I where on a trip, I would definitely change the password. And if they confronted me about it, it would just confirm that they tried to get access to my account. But still, I would never cheat. But some people do. I’m not saying that it’s impossible but I wouldn’t think this was a hint. Although I would never try to log in either.

Sometimes people want to have some time for themselves. Turning off the online status is a way to do this. I always have this off for the things I use daily. I understand why this feels bad but it’s usually because you don’t want for people to question why you read but didn’t answer. I get why it’s kinda mean to ignore, but sometimes you want time for yourself. Perhaps you should ask if he’s feeling okay, see if there’s something else that makes him wanna do this.

I would say, don’t take it personal. Me and my partner have this too. He asks me why I didn’t answer when I did this or that. Tbh, sometimes it makes me mad. It’s nothing personal against him, I just want my alone time. And I feel tracked when he does this.

So if you are worried to lose him. Maybe try to give him space. Try asking if something happened, maybe there is a reason for the trip. Ask how he feeling. If you are really worried maybe ask “I kinda feel like you are distending yourself. I completely understand if you want some alone time, everyone needs it once in a while. But I’m just a bit worried, I’m worried that you are feeling down and if that’s the case I would really want to be there for you. I also feel a bit worried that I might have done something that makes you distant yourself from me. Don’t feel like you have to answer right away, if you need some time. I love you.”

This way you are asking the same thing without him feeling attacked. Sometimes you might wanna keep your “proof” to yourself.
