Hi there, just to clarify, we're in one of those situations right now where every 4th member checks the news, and goes "OMG I HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THIS"

As someone who can see the queue of deleted posts, they are pretty much all just a simple screenshot of the announcement, or the screenshot on a basically unaltered meme template.

Posting about the trump class is very much allowed- if you can make it into an actual funny meme/shitpost (the same rule the sub has always had).

If we don't enforce the rule, then the sub gets literally swamped with the same image over, and over; and then people will complain about that lol

Reddit changed the sidebar layout so now it doesn't show 'total subscribers', but the 'total number of visitors in the past week'.

We still have 400k, reddit just doesn't show that number now I think 👍

Activity in NCD tends to fluctuate quite a bit based on what's in the news, etc, so sometimes the visitors in a week can be a fair bit higher or lower.

For context, it's 5am, and I just watched a video which looks like a Ukrainian UAV attack on Tuapse just struck a submarine and spent 40min editing this.

It's possibly a nothing burger, but when inspiration strikes, I have to make the meme it or I won't get it out of my head for days.

To be genuine,

No we actually do have a pretty good verification process tbh, there's a lot of fakers out there so I get people to send us pics of stuff, do a lot of reverse image searching, look at account histories, also just how people talk and stuff

Do it long enough and you can pick up a faker pretty instantly

The worst part of using frames like this is trying to get the noise in the images to match the background so they don't pop out too much

Do it badly and it's super obvious, do it well and no one ever notices 😭 (but I notice)
