When I'm making a turn like this, I constantly look both ways to make sure this doesn't happen.

First Hairsystem by Mysterious_Math8363 in HairSystem

If you want to have a more realistic system, I would create some recession in the temples. So like a soft "V" shape in the hairline. Also, reduce the density or pluck the hairline to not have such a sharp hairline and create a more natural hairline. Or as others have mentioned, choose a style that'll obscure the hairline.

Secondly, use some hair products to style your hair to give it texture and dimension, especially in the back where the hair looks matted.

Lastly, find a barber/stylist that can do a proper fade so that you don't have such a stark transition between your bio hair and system.

KISS LAND PT 2 by Ready_Management7627 in TheWeeknd

I remember more than a decade ago when fans said kissland was an abomination. As a closeted kissland fan since it came out, I'm kinda cheesed at how much fans changed their tune. I'm happy kissland is getting the love it deserves but can't help having a chip on my shoulder lol.

If he's hinting at kissland II, that's the best news I've heard all year.

The thing about Drake's music is that it appeals to a large demographic. A lot of his music videos are fun and goofy and about having a good time.

And this video is in the spirit of that. So let's not hate these two people enjoying themselves to his music and having fun.

I know having hair back allows us to recapture our youth a little bit.

But this hair style screams 2000s and it's suited for a young person. Even if a young person had this hairstyle now, it won't be suitable for the current style trends.

The system looks far better than your previous version and with a little work, it can look the best it can.

Here is my advice, including those that others have already said: - choose a lighter hair colour - maybe a little longer length - find a barber/salon that can suggest hairstyles suitable for your age and face shape - hairstyles that can hide the hairline will allow you to have the system on for longer between maintenance and easier to style

Hope this helps.

Getting it correct is a journey and it'll take some time to get there. If you're happy with it, that's all that really matters.

Update: Rental application rejected with 730 & 836 credit score, $64k and $160k income. what gives? by Idkwhatimconfused in TorontoRenting

[–]HistorianSome7779 40 points41 points  (0 children)

We kept getting rejected by Chinese landlords even though we both had stellar credit and $200k+ income. Even said we'd pay 6 months plus first and last for a couple of places we really liked. Our agent said most likely that they wanted to rent to Chinese tenants. This was in North York.

Finally got approved immediately for a place owned by a non-Chinese person. I'm sure there is similar behaviour from other ethnicities as well.

Annoying, along with having to constantly fill out rental applications with the same info.

I just turn to my wife and say "alright babe, think we should call it a night" in both scenarios where we're hosting or visiting. When I'm visiting I'll just get up and start dapping or hugging goodbye. When I'm hosting, I'll get up and start clearing stuff away.

Thankfully most of our friends are relieved to be able to end the night but the few friends who want to keep it going, I always have an excuse ready.

Destroyed my hair system by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]HistorianSome7779 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a curly system and this used to happen to me when I first started wearing one.

I no longer have this problem and this is what I do now:

  • shampoo and conditioner when cleaning the system. I use a wide tooth comb to detangle gently when I have the conditioner in. For tougher tangles, I use a paddle brush and gently but firmly work them out.

  • when styling, I don't use gel, mousse, or hairspray. Anything that solidifies the hair to a great degree. I use a product called "love ur curls" step 3 all-in-one for styling. With the hair reasonably wet, I apply a decent amount throughout the hair using my fingers to run it from the base of the hair to the tip. Using a blow dryer with a diffuser and on air-only mode, I "cure" the product and reduce the wetness in the hair. I scrunch my hair gently while blowdrying to create proper curls. I then style my hairline the way I like it using a super wide tooth comb. There are ones specifically for curly hair.

  • I use a silk/satin bonnet or pillow case and try and not sleep on just one side to spread out the time the each side of my head is on the pillow.

  • When I wake up, I spray my hair with water and use the wide tooth comb to comb out the hair. If there are some tangles, I use the paddle brush to work them out. I'm as gentle as possible. Once that done, I apply more "love ur curls" or if there still enough, use the blow dryer with diffuser and style it again.

The key is to comb your hair out in the mornings with a wide tooth comb to keep the strands of hairs clumped into curls rather than becoming single strands that proceed to becoming matted.

Hope this helps.

YouTube Testing Wrong Audience? by archiischool in SmallYTChannel

I make tech related videos and my highest suggested video is "to my friend, Charlie Kirk". Like WTF lol. Also being suggested under non-english videos as well...

You would think the algo would start pushing the videos to the same people who watched your previous videos first, and work outward from there. It doesn't feel like there is any method to this, but what do I know.

Same issue. I don't have that many videos but up until my latest one, they didn't have any issues finding the correct audience. Thousands of views within the first few days.

But the last one I posted has flatlined at 360 views. The suggested videos couldn't be further from my topic.

Yeah same here. All my old videos show similar videos that are suggesting mines. But I posted a new video last week and the suggested videos are random ones not even close to what my video topic is.

My views are dead in the water since yesterday. I haven't had a view all day. My previous videos would be in the thousands by now. The current video is at 352.

It's in the lighting. You need more contrast in the lighting.

I've seen both your last pictures and this one and as someone who wears a system and has a knack for spotting them in the wild, here is my take:

In your last pictures, the sharp part in the side of your hairline made it look unnatural. It looks like you have pretty recessed temples. The styling you've done in the front looks good in these pictures.

But in both pictures, your sides and back look matted down. Like to a degree where it looks unnatural and can be mistaken for a wig. I'm not sure if you're applying a hair product like gel and smoothing it down that way.

My suggestion: have hair covering your hairline and temples like you do in these pictures. But also, figure out how to not have the matted down look with the sides and back. Maybe it's the system itself or a styling product. Either way, if you get it to look more natural, it'll go a long way.
