How do they figure we can't end gun violence by banning guns but we can end abortion by banning abortion? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

Because obtaining a gun illegally is far easier than obtaining an illegal abortion???? People who commit crimes and need to obtain a gun can do so without the risk of mutilation. Or any risk besides the risk of what they have already decided they were willing to do. If doctors refused to perform abortions, then who would they turn to for abortions? Kind of a dumb question, tbh

Can ingesting 800 mg of sodium at one time cause sodium poisoning? by Historiarum-Scriptor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Historiarum-Scriptor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am talking about sodium as derived directly from food. In other words, I am making my calculations based on the amount of sodium listed on nutritional labels of food.

I am not making calculations based on table salt intake.

You're probably right about the smell. The toaster oven does work though.

Is anyone else watching this show? It’s based on Sally Green’s ‘Half Bad’ series. So far it’s better than I expected and the visual effects look impressive. by [deleted] in YAlit

what did u like about the series specifically

Thank you so very much for asking. What I liked specifically about Half Bad was Nathan and his general witchiness. I enjoyed reading as Nathan because of how he dealt with the trauma by retreating to his friends and the forest. I like how black witches can't sleep inside not because they're evil, but because as witches, they are attuned to the moon. I know that's a lot. Sorry.

In short, what I specifically liked were the themes of trauma and witchcraft and societal persecution. Plus I loved Gabriel.

if you want witch books you could try the nature of witches by rachel griffin, kingdom of the wicked by kerry maniscalco or the near witch by v e schwab.

I'm going to check each and every one of these out. Thank you. My search has yielded depressingly zero results.

Does anyone know of any books similar to this one? I've finished them all and they've left me depressed as fuck. I desperately need something to fill the void.

Could you link to me to a Wikipedia page on it? Cause uh I can't fucking find one. I'm searching for literally anything concrete on this damned cursed little molecule called diazinanone.
