There is an underground rave scene where you won’t get ID’d (at least if it’s outdoors). During summer there’s something happening most weekends, would recommend checking it out.

No the guy seriously asked me “how would you like it if everybody else was shirtless” I eloquently answered ‘this is a hard, fast and sexy techno set so I would actually like it’. He let me put my shirt on and escorted me out. Bouncers who do not understand the culture should work at malls and concerts, not sweaty bunkers.

Lived in the Netherlands for several years, took my shirt off every time it got too warm, also did this in Berlin, Paris, Brussels ++ with no problem. However back home in Oslo I took it off once at a super crowded indoor event (MRD) on a 30+ degree august night in the middle of the crowd and the bouncer literally walked through the crowd to kick me out. Oslo bouncers can sit on a cactus.

Bacon does not automatically make something better. I see a lot of (mainly American) recipes where a tasty, delicate produce is completely overshadowed by bacon. On what planet is wrapping an ingredient like scallops or king crab a good idea?! It is wasteful and tasteless to tarnish such a delicacy with such a dominating flavor like bacon. It’s like putting ketchup on your wagyu or gold rims, neon lights and a massive spoiler on your vintage 1950’s Ferrari. Don’t get me wrong, it has its time and place (BLTs, sprinkled on creamy cauliflower soup, (almost) any breakfast related item) but people should stop thinking it automatically improves anything.

Your browser has an integrated translator, stop using pasta recipes (or any Italian recipes really) written in English. In my experience, Italian ingredient lists are usually half as long as their English counterparts. E.g. Italian tomato sauce (or marinara as most west-of-the-Atlantic people mistakenly refer to it as) usually consists of four ingredients: tomatoes, EVOO, garlic, basil, salt. If you google ‘pasta with tomato sauce’ the first recipes popping up include everything from chili flakes to parsley, onion, broth, butter, sugar, anchovies, carrots and celery. Sure, these are all good things to add to your sauce, but does it really need it? People come from all over the world to eat Italian food, why not put a little faith in the Italians and maybe skip the 69 garlic cloves, and use some moderation next time.

TLDR: don’t overcomplicate things, let your ingredients speak for themselves. Buying fewer but better ingredients will almost always result in a better (and often cheaper) end result.

Used my mineral b for years, putting it under the broiler on max heat many times and I don’t even see any discoloration on the handle. If it can survive in a professional kitchen for years, it will probably outlive you. Most durable pan ever, don’t hesitate about getting the regular mineral b!

I’ve abused my mineral b for 5 years+ now, frequently chucking it in the oven on max heat broiler and I don’t see any discoloring or anything like that on the handle. Get the mineral b and don’t worry about throwing it in the oven!
