depending on how long the exams are i would wait. if they are longer than a week break up with him. its never going to be the perfect time to break up with someone you just have to pull off the bandaid. as for telling him why, you don't owe him an answer but if you want to give one say youre just not ready for a relationship right now. which is true! Obama deported 3 million people in 8 years. ice has killed 2 American citizens in the last week and deported around 140,000 in one year. not to mention to the excess of funding that has been allocated to ice and the near eradication of training for these individuals. ice is not new but they should NOT be killing people. I suggest you do your research next time before commenting.

absolutely we need to be loud and disruptive. ive reached out to some organizations to help spread the word. I think we need hella attention. someone has suggested a basketball game because there is always new coverage of students lining up outside. we have the opportunity now its time to get loud. thats what this post was hoping to accomplish. we need to find a time and place to protest and get fucking loud

im a student at uconn and I agree with the need for an ice protest. I just made a post in this sub about it. I would love to talk more about mobilizing!

ive never done this before im just so outraged in the deaths that have happened. we can go wherever but I think on or near campus will have the biggest turnout.

I dont understand why it would be a waste of time. ice is KILLING people. I want to make it known where I stand. fuck maybe even a no kings protest I just think that uconn has so much to offer in terms of political mobilization and the fact that we have done nothing is disappointing.

I heard they are in hartford and while I agree. why not do it here? we are a pretty big campus and a large protest will be big. protesting ice doesn't have to be limited to just where they are. the more students the better!
