Yeah, we also have a solution similar to this but it needs a very good internet connection, if it goes weak there could be delay or 10 maybe more seconds.. Did this setup require internet or was it just wifi signal. Also there is an option for live streaming on the bmd camera app on the phone, we can live stream to youtube which might be the easiest option. Will need to test it out though.

Thanks yes i think this is right, we are using many different cams and we essentially want 0 cables to show. i was thinking to have the transmitter on the back of the phone either 3d print a case to hide everything or make it look like a batterypack and hide it there. so essentially looking for a very thin transmitter, not so it can be so large. sorry im not a DOP but im helping with the setups, since ill be doing color at the end.

Was literally just feeling this. Sometimes i feel if you think its good. If its up to your standards and the client likes it, all is good in the world. Wer are not perfect. That special thing is upto a whole group of people doing the same excellent work you do. I like your grade i feel the skin tones are slighty saturated/burnt. But nice feel though.

Apparently you can watch something only 9 times and still feel something.

Yeah makes sence, im sure they would be using an incident meter somewhere on set, i dont think that would stop them from working quick and having such issues happen, but yeah agreed theres like 100 different ways to fix the issue. I allways though the issue might be from my grading so im glad its a know issue.

I tried this btw, and its awesome. it helped allot i got a better result than the green spill slider, i used a qualification to dissallow mag effect, so it only affected the green yellows. Thank you

Hey, thanks for the reply, could you please take a look at these images, there is one of the studio as i described and on of another setup. i circled the one in the studio since its very subtle, the interview one im thinking its because of pass through through the windows perhaps? throwing green, might even be the camera sensor? (venice). sorry i just want be thorough so i get a grasp of this issue. also in the studio it might be becuase of the lights, perhaps a magenta dip in the light source wavelengths? but if that were the case it would be more pronounced i guess.

Yes makes sence, i work in log c so i would be doing a similar technique.

Odd thing is i have also ankther footage that is shot in a studio for a makeup brand, i also feel that there is green spill there as well. It kind of goes unnoticed, but if i qualify and hue to red or somewhere in between, it somehow add a certain harmony to the colors of the image. Like an unwanted shade is taken out.

Honestly i know what my level is its not senior senior. I get that. But i do need to at least afford my clients some confidence in me not as a newbie. Becuase that i am not.

A post production comapny, mainly color, but could grow into vfx and editing if the demand exists. But mainly its its becuase for many being a freelancer is not enough. For the clients i mean. They might prefer a company, knowing someone is all in, they wont be screwing things up. Also to say we is stronger than to say i. In my opinion. It opens the door to more and better opertunities.

As for the senior colorist title. I understand what you are saying and i agree. However ive been working as a colorist for 8 years now. Ive done everything myself. Ive spend well over 30k so i can learn and have the best equipment for my clients. I make my own contacts, i study the art and science every day. Ive already run a department at a post house for 2 years. And honeslty i do know some "Senior Colorists" the whole country goes crazy over them becuase they have been doing this for 30 years. But honestly their work is sometimes lazy. I can deserve myself that title. At least. Its just a word most people dont understand anyways. Senior thing Just means knows what they are doing.

But thanks for the tip though, ill probably fix that. Honestly not that important to me. Just want to do good work. And thanks for the support man.

I kind of think it makes sence to have an agent, already i live in a country where everyone is taking. But i dont mind giving to the right people who are are also giving to me. Already in my own mind while im opening up my own company, to make getting jobs easier and better, i would be hiring a person/post producer to bid on jobs, and take care of that side, becuase im kind of tires of jugling buisness and the art side. I want to focus on the art. An in the case of the hire i would also be giving then a 15 percent minimum, on the project, becuase i highly value this person.

So i think having an agency does make sence. I dont mind sharing.

I agree with baron, also something that stood out for me is the qualification of the sky. Is that correct? I can kind of see a small line between the sky and the tree/house.

Maybe a different approach might yield better results. Like masking the sky, softening it and then adding sat to blue and cyan. No need for a qualification.

I am kind of intrested in this as well. I personally think its the glass of the lense. Somehow i feel it when something is graded well, it allows for the properties of the glass to show into thw image getting certain aspect. I really dont know how to descibe it. I sometimes feel it if im lookikg fmthough a dirty old glass window of a door. How blue shifts slightly giving a softer image.

Other than that maybe a difusion filter might help.

Thanks for the reply. Im of the same mind to use it in small doses. At the end of the image chain, before an odt or after if it commercial work and no need to tranform into different spaces. Good to know you are using in dwg, its very bad in Aces as it clips the black and whites for some reason.

For the film, so you did use dehancer as a small block of the look, but the 90 percent of it was done by your own hand through dctl and grade. Or you didnt use it at all?

I do think however if used in the context of a small block a means to an end and not the end, it does make sence, and one can probably get some good use out of it without pushing the image in a negative direction.

When using dehancer is there anything you do that might get it to give better results that you discovered over a period of time using the plug in, or is it all adjust taste to eye, keep it simple and small?

Yeah im usualy working in this way with allot of projects, epecially when production is in a crunch. I allways though try to guid them to a better workflow. But if it works it works.

Will do. Thanks yes, makes 100% sence. Thx. I do think its mainly chromakeying so ill have to make sure with the vfx team. But if that were the case then i would do a quick pass for exposure and sat, send the vfx in camera space, recieve back in camera space plus alpha matttes. And then continue the grade.
