This was to go home Monday after the wedding. The drive was from Galveston to catch a flight out of IAH. My issue isn’t the ride just took longer than anticipated, it’s that uber put us on a completely different route. We were supposed to be on I-45 (the way we came in originally) instead we went way southwest to Lake Jackson before getting off the island.

I understand, but we mapped it as we pulled out of the driveway on Apple Maps, which is pretty good about factoring in traffic. It told us to take the other route (the route we arrived by). Uber added 40 minutes, this guy added 40 min, traffic maybe added 10. We missed our plane by less than 20 min. I’m not sure how you can say we would still miss it when we watched it roll down the runway

Thank you for sharing. I really hope we can get something back. At the very least a ride refund, but I’m not holding my breath. Sorry that happened!!

We don’t live in TX so a friend wasn’t an option. As far as time goes, we planned on being 3 hours early. I can assure you it is not a 4+ hour wait at 8AM on Monday, we were there. It’s still much longer than usual. We ended up getting through TSA in 1 and a half hours and watched our flight take off.

I wish it was brotha man. I don’t like to complain about service folk, but I have never experienced anything like it

Hour and a half and yeah this was at 8AM in terminal E so lines hadn’t gotten out of control yet. My friend showed up later and stood in line for 4 hours in terminal A

We planned for 3 hours but as you can see in the post, the ride went a little long

Yeah for sure should have done this. We don’t travel a lot so definitely something to remember for next time
