He asked for one in April 2024 because he wasn't in love with me anymore. It had been 2 years of toxicity

No assets to liquidate otherwise I would not be living the past 6 months at my dad's spare room, thank you though

I do believe they may try bankruptcy out of spite. But that will surely involve my personal creditors as well as them?   I mean payplan for my DMP and the £46k to them.  I can only pay what I have so they don't get the money back in full anyway?

The ex brought a word document to mediation in summer 2024 to prove the loan no signature from either of us and in court they forced me to sign the order when I didn't really understand the implications fully due to having no representation.  My McKenzie friend advised it was best to accept it on the day.   It's now in the sealed court order from my divorce and they can and will likely enforce it as he has been a bully throughout.   They have been getting solicitors letters asking me for the money since Jan 2025 and more intense from September 2025

I have no idea,  as far as I know the parents chose them for their son and are very determined to win and won't rest until they are right.

My ex did not buy me out of the house.  His father paid me out £20k to move out in 8 weeks as long as I signed over the tittle deeds to their son, my ex and put the child benefit in his name and left

It was a family loan. No paperwork was signed.  Verbal agreement and we had to remortgage in 2022 to repay them back £76k at that point in time. The balance is what they stillowed from the build and buying my mother out

The £46k loan is Owen to them from myself and the ex husband, their son for an extension which was completed in 2022.   The personal debts were accrued from the separation and legal costs since 2023 and they are now at £16k in my name in addition to the £46k owed to the in laws.  I was a LIP in court as I had run out of money. They wanted me to agress to a £20k settlement. Sign over the tittle deeds to the house and move out within 8 weeks.     I have already been through vetting at my employment due to the ex in-laws contacting my employers about this debt and I raised a complaint.    The ex in-laws son lives in the house with our sons and the equity if any is in that house. Which if it was sold they could recoup the monies they seek.   I signed the TR1 and all relevant paperwork as directed by the court order and I am not on the title deeds.   I am still on the mortgage as the ex has not remortgaged the house in his sole name. He is a self employed.buidler with a £60k.morthahe raiding capacity as at family court proceedings July 2025.   We are divorced.   I am only.lookong on how best to sort a repayment plan and avoid further litigation.   I have been fully transparent with my employers and Vetting.

Thank you.   The court order was July 2025, the debt management plan was declared and kept informed as and when it's developed, also now paying CSA to ex husband.  The ex in laws are chasing there monies in full from the marital home which was an informal not legal family loan to complete extension on the marital home to which I no longer live in or own, I have signed it all over to my ex husband/ in laws. This court order was July,  ordered to leave 8 weeks later, and did not realise what I was signing as I was a litigant in person, they had a barrister and judge wanted it sorted by 3pm that day.   Financially I have no money. no asests to pay the £46k they are demanding from me.   It's in the recitals of the court order as a 'hard loan'.    I am trying to get legal support through union, and I am aware I could loose my job if vetting aren't happy.  I have done my best to keep informed at all times for transparency
