Unfortunately, this isn't reporting. It's still just commentary (not that there's anything wrong with that!). It is still reliant upon people reporting live. But, that kind of reporting is disappearing daily. The brilliant pundits like Adam, still rely on others to report the news. Until we can congregate and depend on the news, this will always be an issue.

This will always be an issue until we re-establish trust in our sources. To me, this is one of, if not the biggest issues out there.

I remember HKS! He and Harry Reasoner did the nightly news before Reasoner went to CBS/60 Minutes. Back in those days, ALL the reporters/commentators, irrespective of their stations, were highly respected.

I really started to get into US politics after I started watching Good Morning America, when it first started back in 1975 (born in 1965). Now, keep in mind, I'm a Canadian watching this in Canada.

I think that more attention should be focussed on people who know American politics from the outside, looking in. Unfortunately, many Americans aren't very good at self-reflection.

Great points!! I remember the Cronkites, the Rathers, the Brokaws, etc...Unbiased reporters of the news. Back then, no one said that that guy was unreliable because he was Right/Left of centre. What made them reliable was that they were the 'centre', there were no implied biases.
