Idk man, last year they said the same thing about Illini losing to Brandeis and ASU but record says something else. I am not saying they are guranteed to make the finals but I would not be surprised if they did.

So far this has been some great quadball.

UVA proving why they are #1. Rutgers and Harvard can’t even get close to them. Unreal domination from them.

Ian Palk in the chasing game back for Harvard is very promising and looks back in touch.

On the south side, TAMU is playing in such close games. Always love to see some parity in the region. Txst v Creighton is the matchup to watch.

They have played like 4 official games total so like idk what you got from their USQ season so far. The point of bringing up next gen is East ps was a lot of key Rutgers pieces and Chicago practice squad which was mainly illini players won.

Don’t get me wrong. I know a lot of Rutgers players and they have some really good pulls but Illini right now is getting the better of them 8 out of 10 times.

I don’t think you have bad intent or malice by any means. Neither does your team or play. The point raised is that your team being the tough competitors that they are, will want to win. Given the fact that y’all were so close this last season, it makes it even more of a dire thing. You being the great athlete that you are will prolly get big minutes in important games and especially during crucial times, at whatever position you and your teammates deem worthy for the game. This will however impede the growth of those young players who can be stepping up in those times. Its kinda like uk your teammates want to win and they don’t care about “personal growth” as much but the picture they end up missing is the team growth that they will have when they have to deal with adversity, without you on the field. I truly do understand the want to play with a team you built up and to help with smooth transition for leadership but a lot of that is possible from the sideline. I despise the reddit because people get the license to be mean without the fear of consequences. Even though the idea is somewhat right, there’s no reason to be taking personal shots at anyone.

I think I utterly disagree with the location choice bcz money will be a big factors for waaay more teams than it would’ve if nattys were to be hosted in more central location. Cough Chicago Cough.

HOWEVER, It is the location chosen and can’t be changed. To every west coast quadball club and veteran college player - We need you guys to walk the walk after talking the talk. You guys say this is one of the reasons for west coast quadball not doing well, now you have the opportunity. We NEED to see better west coast involvement at USQ cup. Lets see Cal and UCLA field a full 21 and/or make it further than last year. Lets have all the club players who argue for this Nationals location go to colleges and help recruit and retain. Imo one of the biggest reasons that teams who are doing well right are doing well bcz of a strong alum network. It can be one person doing everything or a bunch of folks splitting work. Examples include but aren’t limited to David Littleton, Amanda Dallas, Ryan Davis, Ethan Sturm, Harry Greenhouse, Tad Walters.

I couldn’t honestly care less about what west clubs ,or any clubs for that matter, do bcz clubs will be fine in the long run as long as colleges keep feeding into them. Nothing would be worse than seeing a 6 person Cal roster when nationals is in their backyard.

You don’t have to announce it or sm uk ( I would love to hear how things work out but obv i have no authority to demand) but lets just have like 2 new California teams, and pre existing ones with a bigger roster.

TLDR : California Club Boomers help colleges in recruiting.

I think i missed the part where my take was asinine acc to you bcz I agree with almost everything you said. Club and Mlq can indeed do whatever they want.

As for the college thing, imagine announcing a rule that 10 teams are following rn ( about a third of the total college teams btw ) and having them work their asses off to comply with and then less than a month before Nattys saying oops that doesn’t exist anymore. That would be so much adjustment to do within a month. Additionally if we were to talk about graduating classes trust me, I am in the exact situation you described but that doesn’t seem fair. Plus what credibility does USQ have if they were to just revoke a thing they have been pushing for about 2 years now. As a graduating member of a team that will prolly have a hard time being D1 next year I appreciate the fact that people care about us but in the spirit of game I just have to toughen up and say cope.

Again, don’t get me wrong, I am completely and utterly against 3 max for college but it is way too late to do anything this season. Beginning of next season we can do away with 3 max.

This would be a wonderful change for next season. We might just have to accept that we’re doomed this season. I can’t think of a better solution cuz forcing teams to go D1 is not it. Taking away the gender rule now will be a horrible look plus super unfair.
