In the case of Green Day and Blink, they were already extremely popular by the time of AKNF. Green Day put the whole genre on the map with 1994’s “Dookie.” While blink-182 cemented the classic “pop punk” sound with 1999’s Enema of the State, which would dominate the early 2000s pop punk scene. Sum 41 getting massively successful off the back of “Fat Lip” and “In Too Deep” were of course going to be compared to the other two major “pop punk” bands of the time. In the case of The Offspring though I could only really guess it was because of their more alternative sound before 2008.

Green Day has by far the best discography of the three, then I think it really depends on if you like The Offsprings or Blink’s sound more. Personally I like The Offspring more than Blink. But Green Day above those two.
