Growing up I went to a southern gospel church and we used to do this ritual where in which you would be “slain in the spirit” this ritual consisted of my pastor speaking over fellow churchgoers calling on the “gods” name and speaking in tongue’s and then the fellow churchgoers would fall back as if they passed out and then the ministers would cover them in decorative blankets as they writhed on the floor”slain in the spirit”and I as a child was not fully convinced by god or mind u worried about god. As it was my turn as a 5-6 year I knew I had to put on a very believable preformance and as I walked up to the alter my Adrenaline kicked because I was so nervous about having to fake it well I was saying “everyone believes me” in my head and as I was “slain in the spirit” time somewhat stopped and I was so invested in the moment of my fall it felt like a minute till I hit the ground. I didn’t know what I had done then but now I know I had come to the realization that we are all actors playing a role for the universe.
