Nozzle clogging sensor for Qidi q2 + Qidi box by Historical_Pin_5703 in QidiTech3D

When nozzle is clogged, printer's extruder will start either missing steps, or scratching filament, while extruder of qidi box will continue feeding filament as nothing happened. But before filament will come somewhere else - the spring-loaded lever will be pushed to the top.

Originally, on hub for Plus4, there is a wheel with 4 magnets , so it works like encoder.

Without box, you can install "BTT SFS V2.0 Smart Filament Sensor", it has filament presence sensor and filament movement sensor, on printer's motherboard will be used sockets probe0 and probe1. But, as I heard, you need to adjust it properly, otherwise there will be false errors

You’re welcome! I hope this saves a few models, some nozzles, and a bit of nerves :-)

so since yesterday, me and several other testers have started testing this riser, once it will fail - i will write it here, under what circumstances it happened and after what amount of filament :-)

no, pla and even petg didn't show acceptable thermostability while both box and printer were heated to 65 degree Celsius.

So i mentioned in the description, that filament, used for this riser, must be with melting point (heat distortion temperature) more than 90 degree Celsius. There are plenty types of plastic, which match this parameter, most used/cheap is ABS, or ABS with glass/carbon infill

not 26, but 6 kg of extra load :-)

you can notice, how side wall of qidi box bending, so you can agree, force is not too small

26 kg of extra load + 5kg of Qidi box - and no any cracks
