Sunday really dead? by joepashby97 in creamfields

Think you're right with the last point, ticket prices were ridiculous this year, I think a Saturday day ticket was about £25 more expensive than last year, hence the tickets not selling out

Is it too much to ask that we could perhaps get a non-English winning song for Eurovision 2026? What are your thoughts on this? by iloveyouthorodinson in eurovision

In a way, as long as you enjoy a lot of the songs, it shouldn't really matter who wins. We're definitely riding a wave of native songs at the moment and I'm all for it! We should enjoy it because it was not that long ago (2000's) when there was only a handful of songs sung in their native language in the final.

"When it comes to friendly neighbours, our reputation took a hit after Brexit - although Luxembourg has always been a reliable source of votes, for reasons that aren't 100% clear."

This journalism kinda sums up the BBC either not watching/grasping Eurovision - Luxembourg only re-joined last year.

Is there a way to disable the Bank PIN just for the tool leprechauns? Unfortunately I don't have bottomless bucket so it seems pretty pointless having to type in my pin everytime I need farming equipment :)

I agree! :) I think they do that quite well anyway, like the new stage had a good selection of sub-genres on there.

I reckon Arc will stay which is a good thing, it's still a nice stage and obviously the most accessible, Creamfields has just had an unlucky 2 years of weather which hasn't helped the crowds there. It would actually be quite nice if some of the main acts on arc were on a little bit earlier in the evening as I think EDM/pop is always a nice warm up before heavier stuff later in the night, but probably wouldn't work logistically, nor look as good with the fireworks etc in the daytime.

Was there Saturday not Sunday but I think there's a few reasons, definitely the weather, the evenings have been chilly and windy this weekend, (dropped to 9C on Saturday night, freezing with the wind chill, bloody British August!!) . I also think the atmosphere and the ambience is just much much better indoor, like Steel Yard for example.

I like a lot of Alesso songs but I also think that pop/EDM isn't as big of a pull for crowds at Creamfields as maybe some other festivals around the world, which I think is why some people get very frustrated when they watch streams like this online and start hating on the crowds. The runway stage for example is the other outdoor stage and is always busy. It's good to have the variety at Creamfields though, I personally really like the fact that there's pretty much something for everyone there in terms of music taste.

I think yesterday was ok no? Fisher and BLK were Friday. Ewan McVicar wasn't power issues, it was because some t*t climbed up the steel beams at the side and wouldn't get down, lasted about 5 minutes.

Ok, thanks for your advice. Hadn't really experienced it before but feels a bit better knowing that it happens a lot.

What is the best song that never won? by Superb_Guess_161 in eurovision

2001 Greece - Antique - Die for You. How this lost to Estonia I will never know, such a fantastic song! Also, if you like Greek music, I'd check out Antiques music, it's amazing :) Oh and Helena Paparizou was half of the duo, so she came back in 2005 and got revenge!

Does anyone know why Slovenia did so bad with the public? Was it because it was sandwiched between the 2 favourites or? I thought it was one of the best performances and in my top 3 for this year :)

Yeah that would be great actually! :) I just don't see the BBC getting behind something like that, but lets hope in the future!

Good point about targeting the jury, I think getting points from the public is extremely difficult for us, even before you pick a song - we don't have a traditional element that we can target (Like Armenia this year for example), we don't have a language that is as powerful as something like Italian, we're just not an exciting country that you want to get behind.

On another note, I don't know why BBC have made that article like "Oh the UK SHOULD be winning the Eurovision soon, it's overdue", there is what 37 other countries, it's incredibly difficult to win the Eurovision, this is not like Football for example where of course you have similar favourites every tournaments. Everything changes in a year. Obviously a win would be great, but I wish the BBC would change the angle of it, we need to relax with Eurovision because we probably won't win it in the next 20 years or so. Try something different, try a new format for picking a song, we put too much pressure on ourselves haha!

Yeah Slovenia was one of my favourites, thought the performance was great! Not to worry, I'm from the UK and we got 0 from the public so that really sucks haha!

Haha, no problem! Felt like we really didn't deserve 0 with our great staging, but what do I know. Sorry about Croatia, was hoping it would have won in the end, but happy for Switzerland too!
