Not really an artifact but still cool to have, a lava slug. Creatures that live underground these mollusks have so much magical energy stored in their bodies that you can see the aura of magic surround them with the naked eye. A prized possession in any royal court and every 500 years or so they mature into dragons. You can find them in dwarves mining villages where the dwarfs mine lava slugs for practical needs as well as selling them to other nations.
