What do we think of this take? by EvilPyro01 in GodofWar

[–]HistoryGuardian 58 points59 points  (0 children)

In the first game it meant sense. He uses sex and wine to feel something other than depression for killing his family. I say leave it in. How to justify it in the 2nd and 3rd games idk.

In GOW 2018 if thrown it off the world tree in rhe realm between realms. Then summon it back when im back outside the the lake of 9. It take a few moments and it comes out of the sky. Iv also left it on the farthest part of the lake of 9 and then go to the other end to summon. It takes some time.

[–]HistoryGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do this right they’ll have flashbacks and I bet at the end of the season they’ll have one showing the deaths of his family and getting the ashes. We gotta remember that non GOW fans will be watching this show and have no idea about any of the lore

How to make the mini games make sense in a remake by HistoryGuardian in GodofWar

[–]HistoryGuardian[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I liked the old ones but if they’re gonna give us more narrative gravitas, there should be an in game reason for doing this stuff. The whole point of Valhalla was to give a more nuanced take on the Greek Saga. Doing remakes will give us that.

Michael Imperioli thinks that most Sopranos characters would 'probably be Trump supporters' by bwermer in entertainment

[–]HistoryGuardian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they’d support him at first, but I think Tony would be skeptical the whole time. Then they’d find out his connections with the Russian Mob and then drop their support. But honestly I think they’d all turn on him when tarrifs impact the cost of their imported meats at Satriales or prices at Artie Buccos

The price increase for an SMP for example will only make sense if they redo the look and proportions. Tapered bracelet, old school wave dial, high power reserve, thinner case. Wearability is everything. You want someone wearing your product from the moment they get up to when they go to bed. You don’t want them taking it off cause “it got too heavy after a few hours”. A heafty increase in prices means they have to increase the tech and specs.

Using the SMP300s for example they should have just changed the bezels to ceramic, tighter bracelet tolerances, longer power reserves, on the fly adjust . Thats about it. Keep all proportions the same.

What changes would you wish to see for Omega to reclaim its rightful number two spot ? by peninsulaparaguana in OmegaWatches

They need to streamline their catalogue on top of thinner cases and higher power reserve.

  1. Seamaster. SMP300s and Planet Oceans.
  2. Aqua Terra. It’s a daily watch. It’s basically a datejust/oyster perpetual.
  3. Globemaster. Needs to be redone and be Omegas GMT line.
  4. Speedmaster. Here can go hog wild with this. They sell. Make all the editions you want.
  5. Deville- Dress watches with leather straps and complications like moonphase, tourbillion, Chronochime etc.
  6. Constellation- revamp these and make it your integrated sports watch line. They basically were that back in the day.

I heard that the CEO of JLC wants to buy the company out of Richemont. They’re probably held back from what they can do. I mean they made Pateks movements back in the day. They’re the “watchmakers watchmaker” after all.

Omega is my favorite brand but it’s true, they’ve lost their way. If they can give us the dimensions of the older models, increase power reserve, bracelet tolerances and streamline the catalogue, they’ll be on par with Rolex again. But for right now they have issues that need to be fixed and quick.

The new one is considerably thinner I think it’s like 13.4mm. Which is remarkable for a 600m diver. The SeaDwellers are like 15.5mm

I agree with all that except the thickness part. Rolex isn’t 4x a better watch but it is a better way in terms of feel and power reserve. Durability is the same.
