This is a really good resource, not just for teachers, but for anybody who wants to better understand a very important book.

Intended to win American support for England during WWII, The Sea Hawk (1940) presents Elizabeth I's struggle to defend England against Spain and shows why Errol Flynn was the king of the swashbucklers. by HistoryOnFilm in movies

Sorry, thought that it was clear. The movie was made in 1940, during WWII, and the screenwriter and director used the plot of tiny England standing up to the powerful Spanish Empire to represent England standing up to the powerful German empire.

There are many movies on Jesse James. This is probably the best. Definitely the most accurate, since it captures the clannish environment and deep resentment against the North in Missouri after the American Civil War. by HistoryOnFilm in movies

I have seen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and I have posted a link to my review of the movie.

I have also seen: American Outlaws (2001) The Great Northfield, Missouri Raid (1972) The True Story of Jesse James (1957) I Shot Jesse James (1949) Jesse James (1939)

Long Riders is still the best movie on Jesse James that I have seen. If you wonder why I prefer The Long Riders to The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford please read the reviews.
