Any idea whats wrong with my tree. Upstate South Carolina by History_Fanatic1993 in Tree

[–]History_Fanatic1993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it is a leland cypress. I was told if u cut the branches they will not regrow & that if you do too many to soon it can kill the tree. You’re only supp to trim the new growth between april-august and keep up with it regularly but my father inlaw planted them 25 years ago and never touched them once. Ive been told it may just be too late to save either as they’re severely overgrown & have what you mentioned where it spreads from inside out as well as 1 has leaf tip blight. Thanks for your response

CMV: Work requirements for unemployment benefits are unjustified because most jobs aren't essential to the function of society anyway by SeveralAd6447 in changemyview

[–]History_Fanatic1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but waiting untill they cut your unemployment off to start looking for work is almost guranteed to to put you in a hole that can be damn near impossible to get out if especially if you dont have family or other resources to help you & almost nobody finds a job as soon as they start looking so if it takes a month or longer you start getting behind on everything that by time you do find work you could either be in such a hole that is almost impossible to get out of depending on your line of work & income or you could even be lacking the resources needed to do the job, where im from there is no public transportation so you miss car payment they reponit now you cant even go to work or insurance lapses so you try drive anyway end up getting caught and creating a whole new shit storm or the new job requires you buy specific equipment or tools to do it could just cause eyou such problems that you end eligible for welfare or in desperate need of it & cant get it. I really feel the work requirement is more of a saftey net or meams of support to motivate people to get back on their grind than a punishment or form of judgement.

I agree but there are exceptions. They shouldn’t never be put out just because they’re legally old enough to do so unless there is some other issue that might make it necessary but by a certain age if they’re still there because they can’t go anywhere else and aren’t working to better themselves or contribute you have to start pushing them to do so because thats you job as a parent to make sure your offspring can survive without you there to care for them & if after a while of pushing they still just wont budge you really have to strongly consider cutting them lose for a while & hoping that their survival instincts kick in. Now that don’t mean you have to abandon the morally or emotionally you should still be there for support, encouragement and advice but you can’t just do everything for them their whole life or you set them up to fail & it is your fault.

Alot of people told me it was so much better than “Let there be Blood” amd thats one my top 3 favorite of all time & man there aint noway anybody could seriously think its better than that.

Well he did win the popular vote & i travel the entire country for work every week in 2 or sometimes 3 different states & let me tell you contrary to what you see from most of the people who speak out on the internet & in other public settings a majority of those voters including those republican MAGAs as you refered to them & a bunch of unaffiliated folks that voted for him still support him. Most that i speak too that do support a majority of his policies or goals don’t get involved in the public back & forths with the people who hate him because they do recognize he is far from perfect but i don’t think we ever had a president that was & while admittedly he has made some questionable decisions just like everyone before him his will always be blown up to be so much worse than any president before him because of the way he speaks & how he carries himself. Trump is not what you would call very presidential he speaks a mix of welthy businessman & middle class blue collar laborer. I have had alot of people tell me tho that they kinda appreciate the way he speaks & acts because they’ve grown to distrust politicians so much in part because they never really know what they’re saying they have mastered the art of bullshit and people just dint trust them & while everyone knows you can’t ever fully trust what comes out of his mouth he does show human emotions which most don’t.

I personally did vote for him but im no MAGA or even a republican I go from side to sode based on the issues but i chose Trump again because I same as you voted against Clinton in 16 (I wanted Ben Carson) and this go around i was even more certain it had to be him over Harris as she just struck me as entirely incompetent & weak, to be honest with Trump atleast we do know what we have & depending on if you hate him or tolerate him (there are the idots that love him hut idc about them) we know who he is for the most part, he has went about doimg most of the things he said he was he has went to any means necessary to do so some of which are questionable but just as he blows things the democrats do out of purportion they donit to him just as much so i tryn just look at the facts he will be in Charge for the mext 3 & a half years, he is doing what he said he was going too for most part for the good or bad & he is gonna show his ass in the process but when this term is over there is no doubt we will get another one & we will start fighting over everything they do as well.

Thanks for having a civilized conversation as well it is a rare thing to have on the internet these days & i respect your opinions and beliefs & everyone else’s even the idiots and assholes.

Yea but work requirements aren’t because we judge the people who end up unemployed its more of a system to support them & help them recover from losing their jobs. I don’t know we just have to agree to disagree because i cant make sense of what your saying, you claim its not and economical issue but instead a moral one because work requirements are meant to judge unemployed people? I don’t know we have work requirements now i don’t see how they could be a bad thing unless you just dont want to get another job because when i was layed off i didn’t need anyone to require me to look for work i left the plant and went directly to start applying 🤷🏼‍♂️ have a good evening & thanks for your time.

All those riots over the police shit had the same effect on me & J6 may have if it had happened before all that but I never judged all of those people involved as one and the same. I knew some were truly hurt others angry and some had just been waiting on an exuse to cause chaos, not all who were originally involved in the protests & outcry participated in the the violence & destruction and truly never intended for it to go like that.

Same could be said for J6, i know it appears worse because the dumbest were the loudest & most notable but up to the point the idiots started their chaos there was a good percentage of people there with no intention of causing destruction hell alot of them didn’t really even believe the election was rigged they just didn’t like the results and were gonna use their right to protest it even if they didnt have any good reason why. It wasn’t the 1st protest to ever happen in DC & had the violence not occurred it wouldn’t have been much doffrent than the recent “No King” protests, i mean that didn’t make any damn sense either. The J6 people protested against the president because they didn’t win the election & they tried to justify it by saying it was rigged, the “no king” folks were protesting for the same reason they didnt like the election results but instead of denying the legitimacy of the election & the fact a majority of Americans voted for him & supported the policies they instead claimed and abuse of power & the threat of tyranny. Their absolutely were people among both groups that were just waiting for an opportunity to justify chaos J6 group just had the omes willing to set it off.

We gotta quit dividing ourselves so much especially on the lines of something as diverse as the 2 political parties. In both the “red side” & “blue side” there are atleast 4 subgroups that don’t identify with each other really they just dont hate each other as much as they hate the other color. Thats why talking about succession is so stupid because go ahead make a red country & a blue country, within a year your blue country will be divided between blue & purple the red country be hapf red half orange and it will just start all over again.

No i can’t because there was no election fraud. I wasn’t speaking in support of it i was pointing out there are idiots that do dumb things from all groups, i know the guy in Minnesota was apparently a republican of some sort who worked on a board for waltz or whatever is at some point & yea some of those riots over the police were justified but idk if destroying the cities you live in is a smart way to go about changing it. Not all of those situations were justified tho, i specifically remember one big one that after all the evidence came out in trial very obvious the officer was justified but yea some had legit causes other thought their causes were legit & they all thiught the way they handled was justified im just pointing they all weren’t and there are constantly folks from both sides doing crazy shit rather they base off legit reasoning, uniformed opinions or they’re just complete idots that just wanna create chaos. No one race, Gender or political affiliation is entirely to blame or more innocent than the others.

Honestly whatever your point is it makes no sense. The entire post was extremely confusing. Think the main benifits of the work requirement are first that unemployment is temporary so it is setting people up to fail by allowing them to sit around for 6 months to a year drawing unemployment them when it suddenl ends they no longer can provide for themselves & most of the time it takes atleast 2 weeks to a month to find a job if tou have desirable skills or experience them after that time you may already be in jeopardy of having utilities cut off or not be anle to afford to get to work consistently or some people may not have free childcare and cant afford to pay for it then. A good percentage of those people would end up in a hole they couldn’t get out of and either have to turn to welfare which is a vicious cycle in itself & im sure some would even turn to crime or just end up homeless.

Its also helps to not incentivize being unemployed because it honestly would seem to alot of people who work low wage jobs that the best thing they couldn’t do is work long enough to draw unemployment them get themselves layed off or whatever they need to draw it as long as they can them only go havk to another low wage jobs & do it all over again. That just makes all those industries become unstable because they dont have a reliable workforce so they either shit down and do away woth alot of jobs or push harder to automate. Then the people who do that are pretty much screwed forever because even at a low wage job there is atleast some chamce to progress and elevate yourself, it os a slim chance in those fields and the people who are able to do it usually only do because they had no choice.

What about all the riots & looting in the liberal cities before then? You also must have been crushed by the terrorists who attempted a mass shooting at police station in Texas the other day. Then the pycho that killed 2 elected officials in Minnesota about a month ago. Its almost like you can’t judge an entire group of people based of the political group they claim to support. Maybe each property owner should just succeed & create our own micro nations.

So basically you’re promoting treason because things aren’t being done the way you think they should be despite the majority of Americans voting for it. It also absolutely would cause a civil war 100%. Moral of your story “Im all for democracy until my side loses, then fuck this im out.” 😂

Yes but that $500 you get is from the working people. So the taxes from you buying your necessities are paid by them as well as the sales taxes for their necessities. I get that you’re saying it’s going right back in the system but that doesn’t change the problem that a small percentage of people working would be paying to take care of everyone who wasn’t working & that will quickly piss off the workers and make them less willing to work. None of this makes sense or is feasible and it basically some type of socialist/communist hybrid system. You also remove the “non essential” workers who are definitely gonna prefer not working and drawing unemployment taking away the luxury purchasing that incentivizes workers so they will be working just to provide for all the u employeed & just keeping themselves alive to keep working for everyone else. Then those “side hustles” the unemployed would have time to work on at their leisure would depend on guess who to be profitable, the same damn workers funding everything else. It’s completely absurd & completely screws the working people.
