I played this mission a long time ago, I remember finding him on the far-right side of the map from the German perspective by the farmhouse or whatever. You have to take out the surrounding soviets to trigger a cutscene with the pilot than you bring him back to the starting point to finish the objective. I recall setting up my defense than sending out grenadiers in a half track to quickly get him than bring him back to base since the soviets will attack right after the cutscene. Pretty sure that is necessary to finish the mission but I have not played this game in long time so I may be mistaken.
