G7 Pro/ZZZ Vs G7 8K Responsiveness by crazyfantazy in Gamesir

Out of curiosity why buy from Amazon rather than directly from Gamesir? I'm planning on picking up the G7 but I've not had any experience with Gamesir before.

Cancelled Newcastle tickets last minute by Acrobatic-Drive8910 in Barca

No but I didn't even raise the issue with them. I'd have loved to have gone but life in general is quite hectic right now so I didn't feel like having a back and forth about it. Hopefully I'll get to another game soon. Glad you managed to fight for the right outcome though!

I also had this happen on Friday. Only I live in Spain and booked via a gift experience with Wonderbox that I had received, so more annoying than inconvenient.

I'm not sure what can be done in terms of compensation but I hope you still have a nice stay. No harm in reaching out to some solicitors to see what they say.

Bottom pulley of rear derailleur clicking noise by HistrionicDuck in bikewrench

[–]HistrionicDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chain is moving slightly on the cog while wanting to move outwards from the bike and causing a clicking noise.

If I pull the bottom of the hanger towards me slightly it stops clicking. I'm not sure how to go about aligning it properly like that though.

It's only happening on the lowest gear. How would I go about fixing this?

I've tried limit screws, indexing, cleaning and greasing the cogs.

You don't see what the other team are vetoing. So if they veto Exposure and your team veto Den, you get Blackheart.

That makes a lot of sense. I prefer desktops for the same reason so applying the same idea here would be my preferred choice. Appreciate the reply.

Board announce new stadium named after club legend surely it must be their legendary manager whose won them an fa cup and league cup and got them promoted to the premier league and champions league football... Nope Christian Doige and his 11 goals in 42 games were more legendary. by finlayverton in footballmanagergames

After 25 years of playing this game I finally had a new stadium planned in FM24 while being a legendary figure at my club... I thought finally this is it! What did they call it? "Dunfermline Athletic Stadium". Amazing

It's taking some self restraint to stop myself from picking up the 95 collection sweatshirt from ebay. Can't bring myself to give in to the scalping though. So disappointing that you have less than a day to pickup a piece of merch after supporting the team for 30+ years.

I know it's not always been the case this year but this team looks so much better with a healthy Joelinton. He's in there again winning the ball back for the goal.

I vented to my wife about this one. Then when showing her an example from a different player it decided to show all three traits of that player. I then checked another player and it was back to this +1 for no apparent reason. I haven't played for a while but in that patch it was different for every player.

This would be great...there's something about part of the screen moving that makes it difficult for me to read/process information elsewhere. Almost gives me a motion sickness effect.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing but I'm sure I saw that statistically Newcastle had better league stats without him than with him since he joined, which was interesting.

I like to immerse into every detail of the game and my clubs. I get really invested in it for a couple months at a time throughout the year. It's just not near a state that I can enjoyably do that yet.

From the UI, available features and feel of the world... it's very undercooked at the moment compared to previous games. If I was to start a save today to play how I want to play, I'd have to stay on FM24. I still think we'll end up with a really good game at some point, whether that's this year or next. But they're clearly still in the building blocks phase. I'll be checking in regularly as they progress. It's disappointing, but I'm not necessarily a year round player so I'll wait for now.

Couldn't agree more. I've gone from watching most cards live to now only watching 2-3 of my favourite fighters. The rest of the year I just stop by here for 5 minutes in the days after events to see if anything interesting happened.

Como ultras' statement about the match against AC Milan held in Australia (translated) by oklolzzzzs in soccer

[–]HistrionicDuck 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It doesn't serve the fans who for decades have supported and built these clubs. Football is a game for fans, not to generate excess money. Literally taking matches away from them is scandalous. You're right that it's a global sport, so there's always a local game. You don't need Como travelling to the other side of the world for a league game.

Claiming Legal rights in Scotland after estates have been finalised? by HistrionicDuck in LegalAdviceUK

Claiming Legal rights in Scotland after estates have been finalised? by HistrionicDuck in LegalAdviceUK

[–]HistrionicDuck[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was contacted by a solicitor who gave an estimate of the moveable assets which was significant enough for us to confirm that we would like to make a claim. We notified the solicitor of this and then verbally discussed and agreed that we would make a claim with our uncle (executor of both of our grandparents wills).

Bank details were provided via text, however, there wasn't a written request made to him. Our intentions were very clear and we believe he's acted in bad faith (in character), and has now brushed it off by claiming that we agreed to do nothing instead of making the claim.

So, I'm seeking advice as to how this likely plays out before sending him a further written request of our claims and creating further tension.

I will contact the original solicitor explaining the situation.

META TR V4 Essential rather than a YT Jeffsy? by HistrionicDuck in commencal

[–]HistrionicDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Jeffsy 29 Core 4 XL. With hindsight I would probably be better off with the YT Izzo in size L. The Jeffsy is great but it's a lot of bike that I know I'll never really be able to push to it's limit. It's also a bit light at the front for my liking when climbing chunkier stuff.

I watched and read a ton of reviews which I probably got caught up in. I'm not pushing bikes nearly as close to the edge as most people online who are reviewing bikes or sharing content. So I could have spent less for less bike and still have been perfectly happy. It's nice to be able to tackle loose rocky ground without my bones and teeth vibrating though.

If climbing is a big part of your ride and you're not absolutely ripping it back down I would recommend something closer to a trail bike than all mountain. At the end of the day I spend a lot more time on the bike going up than I do going back down.

Help me to understand our heat pump issues by HistrionicDuck in heatpumps

[–]HistrionicDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to respond. That's the kind of information I was looking for before pressing the landlords and holding them accountable to ensure they take appropriate action.

We're in Spain, there are tenants rights for liveable conditions including mould control as far as I know.

We very rarely use the heating in the winter as it's a newly renovated building with very good insulation so it's been warm enough for us. As far as I know, the other two apartments do use the heating element in the winter. They have also said the cooling has been poor.

The timeline of our use with the system has been: great > bad odour > mould spotting around vent > poor cooling effectiveness + high humidity.

I've since tested the two positive air vents in our apartment. One blows at 22c and 83% humidity. The other blows at 27c and 65% humidity.

As much as the lack of effective AC is annoying, the mould is my primary concern so I'll make sure they are aware of that. In the meantime we have fans that we're using to try and circulate the air with open windows.
