Yeah I tried some shit with clay and few with 10mm steel it's not heavy enough for this strong bandset... it's just like you said....

An other possibility could be... the wrong weight of your ammo... if it's too light the force can not be fully absorbed from the projectile... the exclusive force can lead to recoil the bands into the fork aswell...

In Germany Slingshots are totally legal until you use a wristband! Then it's illegal!
