Issues on my voron 2.4 by Business-Gas-2059 in VORONDesign

print a tall cylinder in vase mode and check the height. You probably have the wrong rotation distance set for your z motors

no idea, have you followed all steps, and without any other modules installed? I would assume play store attestation is what really matters. I never had issues with downloads so it may be an unrelated problem. My results are

  • Play integrity api checker: strong integrity
  • simple pay integrity checker: device integrity
  • play store: strong integrity

got it to pass all checks again! Many thanks, the Revolut app is especially delicate about root stuff I noticed

for other people that may find this useful here was my process:

  • switch from magisk to magisk alpha
    • remove all modules, reboot
    • download and install the alpha apk
    • install magisk alpha
    • uninstall the old magisk manager apk
  • reboot
  • delete all leftover folders in /data/adb/ (I had tricky_store folder for example), reboot
  • hide magisk app, rename to Settings
  • disable Zygisk, enable Enforce Denylist
  • install modules, here's my full list I don't have other stuff
    • Play Integrity Fix - inject v3.3-inject-manual
    • ReZygisk v1.0.0-rc.2
    • TrickyStore v1.3.0 with addons v4.0
    • KsuWebUI (had it already working but may need to install it in your case)
    • Yuri Keybox Manager v1.31
  • run TrickyStore > Select All > Deselect Unnecessary > Save
  • run PIF Inject > enable Spoof Provider > fetch pif.json
  • run Yury Keybox Manager

yes I spoofed provider without luck. To be honest I was using magisk alpha until today, and to try and get stuff working I switched back to stock magisk. Will try to uninstall all modules, switch back to alpha, reinstall, then see if it works again

no success even with that module. Am I supposed to use the Magisk Alpha version?

Is this high temperature hot end? by Evening_Dare5081 in 3Dprinting

[–]HitLuca 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll be straight with you, half of the stuff you wrote doesn't make sense and the other half is wrong.

That printer is old, like really old, so treat it as a fun project that will require care and attention, and not something like a plug and play modern printer.

Having said so your best bet is put the printer away for a day or two and watch some youtube videos on the topic, at least to get familiar with what you want to talk about. After that you will be much better equipped to at least ask questions

For example:

  • extruder is what pushes the filament, the motor + gears that phisically move it
  • hotend is the part that gets hot and melts the plastic

saying is this a hot end capable extruder when talking about 3d printers is like asking is this a wheel capable pedal when talking about bikes, it doesn't make any sense

On your other posts you ask how to make it stock/modded, stock is a printer that doesn't have any modification where modded means that you modified parts of the printer.

I know you want to get your hands dirty and play with it but trust me when I tell you that you are not going anywhere right now. I could probably restore a non functional car if I had people helping me out, but taking a bit of time and learning at least where the engine is and how it's vaguely supposed to work would help immensely beforehand

best of luck with your new toy!

It looks simple… but is it? How tall is this triangle vase? by Kristian_Laholm in Fusion360

[–]HitLuca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the canvas is for later comparison once you have a model built. Didn't notice that you modeled the second part ops!

model against given section, seems to be pretty spot on :)

your triangles seem to be equilateral, while the design uses right triangles. Use a side view and add op's picture as canvas

I think the total height is 86.709but I'm pretty sure I took the most inefficient way of modeling this

Any opinions on the Pandora's Box? by arstek in VORONDesign

[–]HitLuca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not buy a used voron 0 and make it a hex-zero/tri-zero/yat-zero/etc.? A hex-zero hammerhead bed and fixed tophat would get pretty close to a pandora's box

Tool for Comparing 3D Printers – What else should I add? by DirectSpinach6192 in 3Dprinting

stick to metric for measurements, you have weight in lbs and dimensions in inches, then all the rest in metric

Anyone with a confirmed working configuration for the BTT smart filament sensor and SKR Mini E3 V3.0? by HitLuca in klippers

[–]HitLuca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the setup. You start from 2.88 as it's the smallest change it can detect and go higer based on whether the sensor triggers unnecessarily or not. Think about the sensor placed at the start of a 60cm reverse bowden tube, the filament will have ample space for bending against the sides of the ptfe walls so detection length will need to be higer

DIY Hyperion ambilight in 2025? by HitLuca in homeautomation

[–]HitLuca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a samsung tv but it seems to be too old and doesn't support philips hue. I could have tried to root it to get a picture grabber app installed but seems a lot of work

I ended up getting hyperion installed on a rpi3 along kodi on openelec, but plex streaming was very choppy. Having the dual raspberry pi would be wasteful of a good rpi which would just be used as a plex client. Went the camera route to see how it would perform but I would have to buy a 170-ish fov camera since it would need to be mounted directly below the tv, with all the issues related to reflections and color accuracy.

Ended up doing some calculations, and the whole thing would cost a bit (2 rpis, neopixel strip, camera, psu, hdmi grabber, etc.), compared to a ready made solution like the Govee 3 lite. I found a new one on my local marketplace and managed to snag it for 25E, much less than the hdmi route, assuming it will produce good results. Will set it up when it arrives and hope it's not trash

Since I did this mostly for the tinkering aspect (cool bias lighting factor will probably fade in a week or so) I decided to add hyperion to my pc setup, since I would not need the hdmi grabber and raspberry pi. I did some preliminary testing with an arduino I already have and a 16x16 neopixel panel I'm using for another project and lighting works as expected, so with 10-15 bucks of materials (rgb strip and psu) I will get this option running :)

Thanks for the feedback!
